Terry awesome work -would you be able to give us any more info on the making of the parts you welded specifically the trailer wheel parts? or perhaps offline a smaller version could be commissionable? Thanks much and happy holiday season!
what size pipe is the "t" made of that goes in the hubs? were the spindles welded to it? or, the pipe replaces the spindles? looks simple enough. also how long is the log and how high is the base? pretty neat! *edit* the spindles are just welded together huh?
Hi there, good day! The mechanism is 3 trailer wheel spindles that are welded together. The “pipe” is the solid axels of spindles that the wheel bearings ride on. You can buy these complete. And yes, prep them and weld them up. Log is about 22’ and damn heavy. Had to adjust the elevation of the pivot base for ideal height. Its about 45”. Its a fun ride!
@@scottt89 Yes, the spindles were a little to long so i cut them shorter to my desired width. Welded them straight then fitted the T spindle also shorter. Parts were purchased from Princess Auto. Its a stock trailer wheel assembly.
I love this. Gonna try and get my guys make one for our pumpkin farm

So where do i buy the part that makes it go up and down and spin?
Capture a photo at 1:38 and go to Grainger. I wouldn't go cheap on it.
This looks like so much fun!
I would love this spinner mechanism.
Sooo fun!!!
