Hi Dr Neil! I am also applying this year and honestly, I feel so scared. Everyone else seems so prepared and ready, and I am just clueless. Last few days, I've felt as though I don't deserve to be part of this healthcare system here and I'm not good enough. As always, I appreciate your videos and the voice you offer to those who need to hear it. I'm in a bit of a mental rut right now, because while I don't have any academic issues/ have average scores but very interesting experiences, I am applying late and still need to take Step 2 to match this cycle. I'm hoping this doesn't get in the way of my journey right at the end and would love to be able to reach out to ask questions.
If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t take Step 2 until December. Didn’t apply to Match until mid December. Interviewed in January. Matched in March. My experience was unique and most assuredly the exception, not the rule, but our imperfections were necessary.

Timing is PERFECT!! Most everyone is naturally nervous... Remember...don't compare yourself to ANYONE, other than the person you WERE yesterday.

Not sure why you wouldn’t if you are ready. No one is ever 100% ready… but if NBME says you should pass, then I’m a proponent of taking the test.
