Here's a video on how to Parallel Park.
I will be discussing step by step how to parallel park, giving you guys enough knowledge so you can go a practice it correctly and prepare for the driving test. You will be given techniques and tips that will be helpful for you to gain the proper insight so you can master this skill in no time. Remember it is important that you find a safe area always to practice.

Jackie Hollimon No. You have to lose a certain amount of points to fail, although I think the amount of points you're able to lose on your test without failing depends on the state you live in. But there are certain things you can do to cause an automatic fail on your test regardless of how many points you have.

steps to parallel park:
1) Get close to the parked car, align your vehicle mirror to the other vehicle's mirror.
2) Put on your vehicle on reverse, turn wheel to the right then let go of the brake slowly until you see the other car's license plates (use ur reverse position to view)
3) Once u see the other car's license plate in your window, turn your wheel to the left and reverse until you're positioned.
4) Once you are positioned, put the car on drive to get the wheel straight then put it on park
How many times do u turn ur steering wheel to the right? Is it base on feel?? Couple time I back up I think my vehicle was too close to the front car bumper cause I went in too sharp made a 75 degree angle instead of 45 degree so when I turn steering all the way to left I was not able to get vehicle less than 1 feet from curb and I had to readjust the moving steering wheel to right and car back out before coming back to reverse and turning steering wheel to left....

16 hours until my test... nervous but confident
I just learned parallel parking (I learned it late too but oh well) and I can say that this video is correct with everything. Also, don’t forget to put on your turn signals. Use right signal when going in to parallel park and left when going out. For me, I thought parallel parking would be insanely hard, but surprisingly I got better after a couple of tries and I was able to parallel park pretty well.
I take my test january 8th and I have no clue how to parrallel park. This helped a lot

Tip: Literally get a tiny car. I cannot believe no one has ever thought of this.
In Michigan, the space you have to parallel park in is the length of your car plus 6 feet to try and make it more equal

go next to cones by a meter. reverse back til the front cones are aligned with mirror and bumper. turn wheel to center the wheel back up til front hood is aligned with car then turn to left side and then park

The parallel parking test back on my island has a lot less space to get into, meanwhile in america...it's so easy to pass this stupid obstacle.

When I took my road test I was not allowed to put my hand behind passenger seat. I had to use my mirrors with both hands on steering wheel! What is correct?

I can’t sleep, up a 3:00am. Test early in the morning. Ngl little unreal. (Wow. Passed. Cant believe it. You are going to be nervous but just do it like Nike and TAKE YOUR TIME. That is most important.)

Please l need a video for backing up90degree between two cones
Is this how big the spots are supposed to be? I did my test and failed because the spot was so small, probably a little bit bigger than the sedan in the video.
I feel you. Went to go practice at my local DMV and the spot was very small. Asked an instructor about possibly adjusting the course for a larger vehicle, but they will not allow it. I live in Georgia, so parallel parking is required.

how far apart will the cones be for the test
Abut the same distance as this video, if you can take a small car to the test it's going to make it a lot easier. Good luck!!!
I always pull up either too close or too far from the cones when I'm pulling up
I was told to never put your hand on the back of the passenger seat only having 1 hand on the steering wheel while backing up
One hand on the steering wheel while another one on the passenger seat while backing up is a valid procedure well known. It is on the practical drivers examination.

Shania Maria my bad jus seen yo comment buh it was easy asl g all i had to do was go to a neighborhood which was like 2 blocks away from the dmv then she told me to pull over without gotta the curb . . . Next she asked me about if I knew uphill n down hill I said yes and I went back to the dmv n pulled into a park that I wanted n she said I passed n that was it. I went to the one in Naperville (the whole test honestly was 5 mins)

Shania Maria i did the written test wen I got my permit (not for my license) n that was like 5 mins because wen you answer a certain amount of questions right they pass you . . . Nah I ain’t have to Parallel park. . . She was like some “can you just pull over to this curb and put the car n park” then she said “so you already no the whole uphill and down hill steps . . . “ n i was like some yea then she said “what way do you turn your wheel for down hill n I said away n she was like some “good” then she was like some “you already no you have to put the car n neutral and the emergency brake n blah blah blah” n I said yea we jus drove back to the dmv (they lowkey being very lenient with how you drive and stuff because of corona)

How was it?
The ultimate parallel parking test is driving a manual transmission + no power assisted steering + on downhill slope. That was what I learned driving - back in uphill in one shot, steer the front wheel against the curb.

Good luck, I wish I would have started practicing and done everything to get mine earlier. Gonna be taking mine for the first time in a month at 28. With more practice began sooner you should hopefully have some confidence and be nice and ready when the time comes 🙌 we got this.

So even though we’re being realistic and we think we’re gonna fail the parallel parking part. We have to remain positive that we have a real chance at this! I know I don’t want to set myself up. I don’t want to get excited & let myself down but I know that I have to have some sort of confidence that day because I feel as though the instructor can sense the fear in us! Driving TV well I caught a panic attack once I saw how mean the lady looked and my nerves got the best of me and failed I got a 40 because I wasn’t looking over my shoulders 😔I’m so disappointed! I was not nervous at all until I saw her she opened her mouth and she wasn’t really easy. I was soooo nervous and as long as I’m that nervous where I start hyperventilating I know I will fail! That’s a given. You can’t be so nervous because it’ll cause you to make simple mistakes. I relied too much on the mirrors. Everything else I did really really good and I’m proud of myself because I won’t sit here & beat myself up for the things that I did that were great. Parallel parking and k turn were great.
Thanks for the tips but you wear away your tires if you turn the wheel without actually moving your vehicle.

@@keya5326 If you move slowly then your tires would have a greater lifespan than not moving at all. You are able to turn your wheel and move at the same time.
