Wunderkind Little Amadeus, commonly referred to as Little Amadeus, is a German animated television series (known as "The Adventures of Young Mozart") that debuted on PBS Kids Go! on September 7, 2008 through March 1, 2009. The episodes debuted on most PBS stations. It was distributed by American Public Television. It helps a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart feature a soundtrack with the musical works of the composer. The series originally aired in KIKA in Germany.
I remember watching this in 4th grade when I was 8 or 9 years old. I loved the theme song so much.

this was the first show I ever watched as a child... I know piano from this day on beacuse of the connection I felt. My own solo, my own life, my own melody. My Dad's funeral was last week and I think this will be the last time I watch this particular episode. Will play piano into the night for him. Little Amadeus.

I think I know why K 545 is in the theme song. It is like the most well known Mozart piece both for pianists and non-musicians. So it only makes sense that in an orchestral track based on Mozart's music there would be K 545.

I noticed that the voice actor of Monty is actually German and his name is Robert Missler. I'm a German myself so I recognized his voice, it's the same as in the German version of Little Amadeus. I just looked it up on Wikipedia and I saw that I was right!

His real name is Wolfgang. He never used the name Amadeus when he was alive.
LECAPITAINEJACK A few years ago I did some research concerning his father Leopold and actually it was written there in one of his letters why they gave him the name: When he was born he was so weak that he had to be baptized as fast as possible. The name of his godfather was Theophilius and out of tradition they gave him this as one of his second names. But his father didn't like it and decided that they would call him Wolfgang (Gottlieb) (german form of the greek Theophilius) bc it sounded nicer. Later he and/or Wolfgang went with "Amadeus" (latin form).you're right that he maybe wasn't called that, but he would sign with Wolgang Amadeus (or Amadeo or Amade) Mozart.
When I was in high school I read some biographies about various people among them was WA Mozart.
His full name is: Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus(Gottlieb in German or Amadeus in Latin) Mozart.
In letters from family and friends; they use Wolfgang or other German terms of endearment like Wolfi or even Wolf... as Wolfgang literally translate as Wolf-path.
