QCon Pro with Mixing Station

- In this video you can see what cool things you can make with Mixing Station and a Midi Controller. This implementation works with any MCU Midi Controller and it works with Mixing Station running on a pc, mac, tablet or phone.
I would like to closely replicate your setup with an X-Touch. I this Q-Con setup available in the dev-core Community? I am wondering if I could just modify that to suit my needs.

but this settings are 2 years old...there are many settings not up to date...i don't use the qcon pro anymore...it was to big for me...

Hi Otto! Well It took a wile to fully understand everything. Ty for all your help Would you be interested in test-driving my midi implementation? If so I will send you a link. It would be a great help to me, and very much appropriated. I am using mixing station with a x18 digital mixer along with a x-touch (compact) my implementation should work with your bcf2000, if not it will work with a x-touch and you Qcon as well. Please let me know if you find any glitches
hy jonn i don't have a x-touch...therefore i can not test it with a real device. if you can give me a list with midi notes for every button from your compact i can translate your implementation to my qcon and test everything. you can find the midi notes if you open the midi device and press 'find controller', then press all buttons and write down the note-number from each

Hello Otto hope you are having a great day. Did you have to program all those buttons function or did it come that way from factory? Also I know you can use it on any screen (phone , tablet computer) but I was wondering on this video are we looking at mixing station on a large tablet or a computer screen? I ask cause I use mixing station pro and I use a 10inch tablet and would have trouble seeing all the things you have on your mixing station screen. I like how it is set up just wondering how big the screen is.

on the qcon you only have to set the mcu protocol, nothing else. most midi controllers are supporting mcu, so this is supported on a lot of controllers.
the assignement of all buttons, knobs and faders is done in mixing station. this is similar like building a custom layout....you only have to assign the actions to each midi control.
the layout is the same as you are used to work with...you don't have to use a special layout. i have layouts in three sizes...for pc (like you see in the video), for a tablet (basicly the same but without the channel view and dca's) and one for a phone with less buttons. If there is no channel view on the layout, channel settings are opening in fullscreen....the same as you already know from using mixing station.
Great video. I wonder if you could program Xctrl mode for Behringer X-touch extender. They seem not too interested in doing it. Maybe they would pay you to do it. Again Great video. Screen size does not matter with the qcon…this works on my iphone, ipad, mac and laptop.
I‘m not a programmer…i‘m a user of mixing station. You can do this as well with the x touch extender…at least most of them because the extender has not that many controls
@@ottobaer Thanks for the info.I am using HUI mode with x-touch extender to hookup to mixing station. is there a better or different mode to use on my x-touch extender?
@@panchopar4003 use the extender with mcu and the x-touch extender driver in mixing station. Scribble and colors should work on the extender as well

Set the Qcon to use MC as protocol
In Mixing station add a Midi Device with MC Protocol...that should work right away.
After this you can assign actions to all controls as you like

I cannot get my fader led meters. Can i assign that somehow? So i can how db is on the qcon ?
@@Kiddodj this should be there by default, but it might depend on the mixer. Check the controllers Meter-1/8. they schould have the action „dynamic channel - current layer - offset 0/7“ assigned
Hello Otto in this video on the top left of your mixing station setup under the 8 colored boxes that tell if 48 volts are on for the first 8 channels, you have a bar with a M in it and a level number. I downloaded this layout from mixing station community and I was wondering if that is suppose to be the master level, because it seems to control the gain for channel 1. I am using the PC version. Please left me know what it is suppose to do . Thanks for all you video and knowledge
yes, this Bar controls the gain of the first internal preamp. i have a M32C, this has no internal preamps, so this one is never used. The same is for the phantom-power of the first eight preamps.
Please delete the whole section if you have a Mixer with internal preamps. i use this section to control my lights and need some unused controls for that.
@@ottobaer Thanks for the explanation. I turned that box with the M into a level control for my master fader. I thought since it said master in the layout when I edit it that is what I thought it was far. Thanks for all your help.
do you know where I can find the midi numbers for all the buttons knobs and faders for a x-touch and x-touch extender?

@@wilbertlichtenbergjr2516 you don't need a list of all those numbers. mixing station has 3 tools for that included:
- add a new device with MCU X-touch or MCU X-Touch extender as protocol --> Mixing station will create all controls for you
- open a device and click 'find controller' --> mixing station will jump to that controller if you press/turn/move it and you can add your actions
- if a controll is missing, add one and hit learn. mixing station will fill in the values for you
