I'm glad ayato is such a flexible unit. I got xiao during his rerun and while I have lots of fun with him, his team comps are very expensive. Today I secured my guaranteed venti and won the 50/50 for ayato! :) hopefully ill be able to 36 star the abyss soon.
Holy shoot you’re very lucky, I got xiao on his rerun too and I’m wondering if I should pull ayato, also my only other 5 star is Zhongli, would you reccomend ayato?
Ayato's started to grow on me and he's super fun to play, very versatile, can use different artifacts plus cool design and animations. He's so worth even at C0 and will be staying on my team for a long time. Congrats to all Ayato havers and Ayato wanters, hope ya'll be able to get him soon!
Im currently a big fan of Sunfire Ayato. Team being Ayato, Bennett, Jean, Flex. The flex spot usually being Raiden or Yunjin. Not the best but def fun for me personally.

after saving since kazuha banner (with about 90 pulls in between for various 4-stars), i was so excited to pull ayato that within 12 hours i not only got him (and venti, my gacha luck was good that day) but got him to level 90 and 6-6-6 talents (just for the equality, or something...). then i realised i understood very little of his kit and just couldn't pay attention to other guide videos for some reason, so i just threw general dps-build artifacts on him and hoped for the best. this was a very comprehensive and helpful guide!! thank you for taking the time to create and consolidate all this information!
During my summon session for Ayato, I managed to nab myself a C2 Jean. Already have a C6 Yunjin. Also nabbed Venti in that same session, all for 110 wishes. Going for that ATK speed Ayato + Venti build. I'm close to pity on the weapon banner too, hoping to nab his signature sword. This unit is awesome.

My wife got him and Diluc rolling on his banner. She is running Diluc/Bennett/Kaeya/Ayato and it was surprisingly fun to play that team. Not meta or anything and it is low AR gameplay, but really fun. Made me realize that my own meta team is honestly not that fun to play.

I was at 70 pity and was excited for my garrunteed Venti, then I accidentally rolled on the wrong banner. I really needed this guide for my surprise 5 Star. Planning on using him as a sub DPS and burst support for Raiden.
I can be completely wrong, but if you play Ayato with jadecutter, his c2 will be even more impactfull as the 50% HP raise will also affect jadecutter's passive, therefore giving him more Atk, as well as higher Namisen dmg buff.

Lmao i crowned his normal attack first and right knowing that it basically useless, it was a waste of resources. I should've watch guide first before pulling lol.
I feel Shimenawas & the Amenoma r2+ would be a great FTP setup, Shimenawa giving that extra boost of DPS to make up for the 4-star weapon base, where the 4-star makes up for the energy loss of Shimenawa's. Also very stylish.

I think a lot of players think it gets used cuz it "makes your crit stats look good" but low-key it's a solid option and a weapon I've enjoyed using on Ayato alongside Blackcliff Longsword.
I experimented with Ayato with minimal investment talents and supports. I tried his freeze team (with Ayaka, Venti, Diona), vape/reverse vape (with Xingqiu, Xiangling, Bennett), and his tazer team ( with sucrose, raiden, beidou). I use R5 Lion's Roar (works best for tazer) cause I refuse to craft another amenoma. Pure f2p, makes me less tempted to buy a batyle pass weapon. I was able to 36 star the abyss on all teams. Granted it's tailor-made for him and Venti. Gotta say though, looks like tazer is my new favorite team. It's so satisfying... If you don't die that is. What I'm trying to say is, he's perfectly balance even at C0 and even as a DPS, as all things should be.
His Burst has an 18s duration. So even if you use his Burst last (i.e. before you switch him out), the field still exists after you use your supports then switch back to Ayato and do his stance change attacks. Also the aforementioned rotation is doable with 4-set Shimenawa's Reminiscence when he is paired with Fischl. I had a really great time with Fischl Ayato in Abyss.
I know amber isn’t the most popular character and probably wouldn’t fit ayato teams that well but her C6 increases attack speed as well if u have it. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
Nice. The big issue here is, not having a c6 amber in the first place. Unless you really got extremely unlucky/lucky with your pulls. Whether or not its lucky or unlucky for someone owning a c6 amber is subjective
What id use : Amenoma Kageuchi or Blackcliff Longsword for weapon, for the burst support id use 2 piece Heart Of Depth and 2 piece Gladiators Finale for more dmg on the burst itself

i accidentally became and ayato main while wishing for sucrose, so now i’m building a team around him and hu tao, and hopefully i get kazuha, too. so this video will probably be helpful even though i generally know how to build him … wish me luck cuz i’m f2p, so he is hurting for weapons, but i got some good crit dmg rolls on his artifacts, (but soon im gonna build him 4p echoes cuz he’s currently 2p hod + 2p gladiator .. the feather is shit and a 4, so is his circlet, but i refuse to go back to hod when i’m gonna build him 4p echoes) and one day i hope i can somehow get a jade cutter or his weapon, though, i dunno how i’d do that as a f2p
ayato team comp update a year later !! lmfao, im an absolute ayato main w 0 cons but his sig weapon and 4 pc glad with a not so stable ratio ( 57 -200 ) but one of his teams comps i found really fun is, furina jean bennet / xl and yelan / xq as he is still a na attacker so it wld still proc their needles or wtv its called and ayato raiden kuki and yoimiya, they have surprisingly good synergy ( raiden e + yoi q w/ ayato e na hold to trigger a bunch of overvapecharge reactions :3 i have ayato on both of my accounts and oml he was a mistake at first but not anymore guys trust
About the Skyward Blade, Native 4% of Crit Rate (almost 1/3 having 2 cryos give). The buffs apply when he uses E AFTER his burst since it pretty much gives Yun Jin burst attack speed Sky Sword=10%, Yun Jin Burst C6=12% and doing 20% of dmg based on his attack for every normal hit = his E, so in theory doing the test of Skyward without using the burst first makes you lose over 20% att of it's power for every hit. The energy recharge and higher attack than the 4*, should have his burst ready all the time+that buffs his E as well,+reacting with other chars than just his E alone as most tests go so far, when hydro's power is about how good synergizes with other elements. If you can try to review Skyward.
I truly enjoy putting ayato with xingqiu zhongli and raiden is it optimal? No. But do they have special place in my heart and they make me happy? Hell yeah
i find that an ayato, kazuha, raiden shogun, and fischl/beidou comp is one of the most fun to play. bunch of numbers, lots of energy, and tons of reactions. plus the enemies are gone with in seconds
Lion's Roar not even mentioned despite being better than the Flute. Attack% main stat and good damage increasing passive, mainly in electro-charged teams. The passive basically means +28% damage at R5. Currently though, electrocharged is bugged and the electro is being removed way too fast for whatever reason so you can't really fully make use of Raiden with Ayato for 100% uptime on Lion's Roar, however someone like Fischl works. Hoyo have already confirmed the bug will be fixed in 2.7 so after that, it should compete pretty nicely with the crit weapons, making it the best f2p gacha option.

But yeah This team is for raw dmg. Bennett Q, Yun Jin Q, Mona Q (last Q since she's using Thrilling Tales), Then finally Ayato E Next time, I might just do: Bennett Q, Ayato Q, Yun Jin Q, Mona Q, then Ayato E Proves itself to be useful :)))
From what I’ve seen, 4 piece shimenawa is a very strong build. Pretty much has a 100% up time so constantly getting 50% damage when you use skill. I was testing it with pretty bad artifacts (haven’t managed to get any good ones) (goblet level 0 cry dmg main stat and level 4 em sands, don’t ask why, all that I could find) with crappy crit rate and dmg, versus a 2 piece glad and 2 piece wanders (just using them for good sub stats). My shimenawa set had 1242 attack and 57 crit rate and 170 crit dmg, while the other artifacts gave him 1746 attack with 73 crit rate and 220 crit damage. (Level 67 Ayato btw). Anyways, the shimenawa set that had no attack sands and no attack/hydro goblet ended up still producing more damage while using his skill. Was hitting about 3600 for shimenawa and 3100 for the other set. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
I dont like the character or his drippy sleeves that would get SOAKED and heavy with hydro, but as a play style, I really enjoy him. What does TK mean in this guide? ATK?
I’ve been waiting for Ayato since his voice leak in Itto’s trailer. I got him the first day he was released on 50/50. I pulled for his weapon and got so lucky and got it. (First character I have their signature weapon!!) and I decided to pull for Venti yesterday and got him too (after losing 50/50) and then last night decided to use the last of my primos and got a surprise C1 Ayato!! I was screaming!
I really enjoy using ayato in my triple geo team with gorou, yunjin and either albedo or zhongli, and also ayato circle of death team with lisa, venti and kazuha
Still working on ascending Ayato, but I've run Blizzard Strayer domain so many times in the hopes of a Crit Dmg hat for Kaeya that I happened to have perfect Heart of Depth set pieces for Ayato ahead of time, LMAO, so it saves me time farming. He's currently holding Amenoma for ~☆The Aesthetic☆~ since his crit ratio is satisfactory for me.
for those who have these units: Ayato, Raiden, Benny, Venti is extremely fun in the current Abyss. Uses Ayato as a sub dps when Raiden's burst is on cool down
I’m struggling to find a good team for him, as I’m not a huge fan of crying characters, I’d love a taser team (though only got Fischl after almost 1 year of playing, and never built Beidou) I was thinking of using Yae and Raiden with Ayato and maybe Sucrose
@@jeffknight7976 that definitely should work, as ayato does wonderful in taser teams. though i suggest having your comps open where you can use two of national, taser, and freeze on either side. it helps tremendously, but i understand if you don't like cryo characters, we all personal preference :D
Right now my ayato team is a hyper carry, using him, C6 yun jin, chongyun, and venti (plan to switch to a Jean when I get one), cause they all can buff ayato ATK SPD with jeans c2
I just found out a huge update, We now can actually use nature elements to increase our elemental dmg bonus like how kazuha did, Cuz before the update you couldn’t use nature elements to increase your elemental dmg like using water from the lake or fire from the stick camp, while before we need to use our own elemental skill so that kazuha can increase our specific type elemental dmg bonus, But now you can use water from the lake and Fire from the stick camp to increase the specific type of our elemental dmg bonus
@@alpha-1commander775 every constant kazuha/sucrose user would be over the moon rn, I just found out about it yesterday as i was testing my ayato dmg while using my kazuha to boost his elemental dmg bonus, before the update you needed to use your own elemental type skill in order for your kazuha to boost that specific elemental dmg bonus, But now kazuha can literally boost your elemental dmg bonus using any type of element around you in nature, i mean thats really huge
So echo set and hearth of depths is fine right. I usually just google builds and they work out fine as long as I am having fun and kill what I'm fighting.
Honestly i found him super fun with bennet xiang and fischl. Xiangs ult is the perfect radius for his E and fischl at c6 just keeps on machine gunning with Oz for lots of damage, its just great overall.
For anyone waiting for Yelan and skipping Ayato. My recommendation is to not slip and pull for Ayato because you see that he is good. The truth is, I have been playing Ayato since the first day, and he has been one of the best characters I've played in this game, hands down. 10x better than Yae and a lot more versatile than Tartaglia. But do not try and pull Both hydro characters as you really can't overload your team comps with Hydro (because the resonance is so meh). I have My Ayato E crowned and he is an absolute monster.
I have both and I don't know how you can say that ayato is better then childe, if you know rotations then childe is better. Only with venti in your Team ayato is better
@@sakutaro3musik486 I have both and Ayato is the better character imo. Tartaglia's C6 should have been part of his core kit. Not saying he is bad, but Ayato is the better hydro applier and sub-dps while C6 Tartaglia is an insane main DPS.

idk if im just tired and missed it in the video but what about jade cutter vs r5 black sword? considering using black sword bc of the normal atk bonus but idk if it would be similar dmg output or not...
i would like to share with fellow ayato mains, his basic attack talent actually does increase his E damage, please test it out for yourself, your missing out on huge damage by not leveling it.
I'm in a dilemma should I use skyward pride R1 (the only 5 star sword I have or Lions Roar R5 my team currently is Ayato, Yae, Fischl and Qiqi. Once I hopefully get Shinobu I'll replace Fischl with her and take out Qiqi to use Kazuha/Venti :')
Got ayato to be a replacement for mona as a support for yoimiya 🤔 mainly just because I was like ooo hydro ganyu vaporise so I’m just using him for his ult

skyward blade do 2 or 3 additional slashes after ult, also it does additional 20% from ATK damage

I know amber isn’t the most popular character and probably wouldn’t fit ayato teams that well but her C6 increases attack speed as well if u have it. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
No it doesnt. Its + 15% movement speed, not attack speed
Nice. The big issue here is, not having a c6 amber in the first place. Unless you really got extremely unlucky/lucky with your pulls. Whether or not its lucky or unlucky for someone owning a c6 amber is subjective

What id use : Amenoma Kageuchi or Blackcliff Longsword for weapon, for the burst support id use 2 piece Heart Of Depth and 2 piece Gladiators Finale for more dmg on the burst itself
i’m glad ayato came out , able to build a taser team yay! i already have a vape team, and a freeze even mono geo. now waiting for eula again for a physical team or another physical carry.
i accidentally became and ayato main while wishing for sucrose, so now i’m building a team around him and hu tao, and hopefully i get kazuha, too. so this video will probably be helpful even though i generally know how to build him … wish me luck cuz i’m f2p, so he is hurting for weapons, but i got some good crit dmg rolls on his artifacts, (but soon im gonna build him 4p echoes cuz he’s currently 2p hod + 2p gladiator .. the feather is shit and a 4, so is his circlet, but i refuse to go back to hod when i’m gonna build him 4p echoes) and one day i hope i can somehow get a jade cutter or his weapon, though, i dunno how i’d do that as a f2p
right now he’s on an r2 amenoma kageuchi and he was on a flute, but i figured the amenoma is a way better option

ayato team comp update a year later !! lmfao, im an absolute ayato main w 0 cons but his sig weapon and 4 pc glad with a not so stable ratio ( 57 -200 ) but one of his teams comps i found really fun is, furina jean bennet / xl and yelan / xq as he is still a na attacker so it wld still proc their needles or wtv its called and ayato raiden kuki and yoimiya, they have surprisingly good synergy ( raiden e + yoi q w/ ayato e na hold to trigger a bunch of overvapecharge reactions :3 i have ayato on both of my accounts and oml he was a mistake at first but not anymore guys trust

About the Skyward Blade, Native 4% of Crit Rate (almost 1/3 having 2 cryos give). The buffs apply when he uses E AFTER his burst since it pretty much gives Yun Jin burst attack speed Sky Sword=10%, Yun Jin Burst C6=12% and doing 20% of dmg based on his attack for every normal hit = his E, so in theory doing the test of Skyward without using the burst first makes you lose over 20% att of it's power for every hit. The energy recharge and higher attack than the 4*, should have his burst ready all the time+that buffs his E as well,+reacting with other chars than just his E alone as most tests go so far, when hydro's power is about how good synergizes with other elements. If you can try to review Skyward.
Testing the weapons at level 80 instead of 90 also hinders the comparison.
Ayato and Venti helped me clear floor 12 for the 1st time! I really like freeze comp with Ayato, Venti, Rosaria (sadly no ganyu or ayaka), and Diona.

Lions roar, amenoma, the flute which one the best for ayato?
I truly enjoy putting ayato with xingqiu zhongli and raiden is it optimal? No. But do they have special place in my heart and they make me happy? Hell yeah
i find that an ayato, kazuha, raiden shogun, and fischl/beidou comp is one of the most fun to play. bunch of numbers, lots of energy, and tons of reactions. plus the enemies are gone with in seconds

Lion's Roar not even mentioned despite being better than the Flute. Attack% main stat and good damage increasing passive, mainly in electro-charged teams. The passive basically means +28% damage at R5. Currently though, electrocharged is bugged and the electro is being removed way too fast for whatever reason so you can't really fully make use of Raiden with Ayato for 100% uptime on Lion's Roar, however someone like Fischl works. Hoyo have already confirmed the bug will be fixed in 2.7 so after that, it should compete pretty nicely with the crit weapons, making it the best f2p gacha option.
Nice guide I'm not actually ready for Ayato and this guide really help me. I suddenly got him on my 20th pull with diluc even her weapon so I'm really surprised and thank god fischl and beidou is perfect for him but I'm might use chongyun + rosaria + yunjin or Sucrose because of your explanation so thank u very very much for the guide

From what I’ve seen, 4 piece shimenawa is a very strong build. Pretty much has a 100% up time so constantly getting 50% damage when you use skill. I was testing it with pretty bad artifacts (haven’t managed to get any good ones) (goblet level 0 cry dmg main stat and level 4 em sands, don’t ask why, all that I could find) with crappy crit rate and dmg, versus a 2 piece glad and 2 piece wanders (just using them for good sub stats). My shimenawa set had 1242 attack and 57 crit rate and 170 crit dmg, while the other artifacts gave him 1746 attack with 73 crit rate and 220 crit damage. (Level 67 Ayato btw). Anyways, the shimenawa set that had no attack sands and no attack/hydro goblet ended up still producing more damage while using his skill. Was hitting about 3600 for shimenawa and 3100 for the other set. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
I dont like the character or his drippy sleeves that would get SOAKED and heavy with hydro, but as a play style, I really enjoy him.

I’ve been waiting for Ayato since his voice leak in Itto’s trailer. I got him the first day he was released on 50/50. I pulled for his weapon and got so lucky and got it. (First character I have their signature weapon!!) and I decided to pull for Venti yesterday and got him too (after losing 50/50) and then last night decided to use the last of my primos and got a surprise C1 Ayato!! I was screaming!
I was waiting for this for like 3 days and I already crowned my ayato lol
I really enjoy using ayato in my triple geo team with gorou, yunjin and either albedo or zhongli, and also ayato circle of death team with lisa, venti and kazuha

Still working on ascending Ayato, but I've run Blizzard Strayer domain so many times in the hopes of a Crit Dmg hat for Kaeya that I happened to have perfect Heart of Depth set pieces for Ayato ahead of time, LMAO, so it saves me time farming. He's currently holding Amenoma for ~☆The Aesthetic☆~ since his crit ratio is satisfactory for me.

I’m struggling to find a good team for him, as I’m not a huge fan of crying characters, I’d love a taser team (though only got Fischl after almost 1 year of playing, and never built Beidou) I was thinking of using Yae and Raiden with Ayato and maybe Sucrose

that definitely should work, as ayato does wonderful in taser teams. though i suggest having your comps open where you can use two of national, taser, and freeze on either side. it helps tremendously, but i understand if you don't like cryo characters, we all personal preference :D

I just found out a huge update, We now can actually use nature elements to increase our elemental dmg bonus like how kazuha did, Cuz before the update you couldn’t use nature elements to increase your elemental dmg like using water from the lake or fire from the stick camp, while before we need to use our own elemental skill so that kazuha can increase our specific type elemental dmg bonus, But now you can use water from the lake and Fire from the stick camp to increase the specific type of our elemental dmg bonus

@@alpha-1commander775 every constant kazuha/sucrose user would be over the moon rn, I just found out about it yesterday as i was testing my ayato dmg while using my kazuha to boost his elemental dmg bonus, before the update you needed to use your own elemental type skill in order for your kazuha to boost that specific elemental dmg bonus, But now kazuha can literally boost your elemental dmg bonus using any type of element around you in nature, i mean thats really huge
So echo set and hearth of depths is fine right. I usually just google builds and they work out fine as long as I am having fun and kill what I'm fighting.
Honestly i found him super fun with bennet xiang and fischl. Xiangs ult is the perfect radius for his E and fischl at c6 just keeps on machine gunning with Oz for lots of damage, its just great overall.
For anyone waiting for Yelan and skipping Ayato. My recommendation is to not slip and pull for Ayato because you see that he is good. The truth is, I have been playing Ayato since the first day, and he has been one of the best characters I've played in this game, hands down. 10x better than Yae and a lot more versatile than Tartaglia. But do not try and pull Both hydro characters as you really can't overload your team comps with Hydro (because the resonance is so meh).
I have My Ayato E crowned and he is an absolute monster.
I have both and I don't know how you can say that ayato is better then childe, if you know rotations then childe is better. Only with venti in your Team ayato is better
@@sakutaro3musik486 I have both and Ayato is the better character imo. Tartaglia's C6 should have been part of his core kit. Not saying he is bad, but Ayato is the better hydro applier and sub-dps while C6 Tartaglia is an insane main DPS.

I'm in a dilemma should I use skyward pride R1 (the only 5 star sword I have or Lions Roar R5 my team currently is Ayato, Yae, Fischl and Qiqi. Once I hopefully get Shinobu I'll replace Fischl with her and take out Qiqi to use Kazuha/Venti :')
