The wooden piece is a candle stand. The little wooden stick on the upper part was for hanging your dipped candles. Then on the lower piece of wood is where your candle holder sat with your burning candle going. Sometimes, people would put mirror on the upper part to reflect the light. But long, long ago the average person didn't have mirrors or the money to purchase one. So they used pieces of old metal like from a tart pan to reflect the light. Yours could be a vintage or true antique (100+ years old) or could be a reproduction. It's very cool. It could be hung up on the wall or it could sit on a table and be moved from room to room as needed.

Hi Shelly I've commented before and I want you to know how much I truly enjoy you and you channel. It 's always something so different and inspiring 😊. I've only been watching UA-cam for three years, and have followed many Diy channels from their beginnings as well. So many of them are now into selling paint, transfer, stamps etc. and they've left their creativity at the back door. I'll never understand why anyone feels they have to use such expensive paint on every small item 🤔. They have become infomercials in my opinion. So I really love watching you and (your chicken's). Thank you so much, Karen! I appreciate the kind comment. I started out doing this crafting thing out of wanting to have certain decor and do it at a fraction of the price. Being a young couple we didn't have money for the pretty things, so I found ways to create them or similar myself. I have since found it is a great outlet, and I love it when I can make people happy making and/or receiving projects. I am so happy you got the crow stencil (going out today). I hope you have so much fun creating with it. 💕
Project 1 was very pretty when you finished it. Project #2 was different, but still good. Project #3 Neat and unique, very pretty. I wish I had the imagination of all you DIYer's. I craft, but not in a big way. Project #1 the best to me.

I enjoy watching your ideas come to life. All projects are amazing, but my favorite is the last one. Combining that piece of wood with the small strainer and then adding the Spanish moss, candle, pip berries, and homespun really make it a piece I would display in my home...

I love them all, I bought the crow stencil from you months ago, I've had a shoulder replacement and really bad arthritis. Kinda been on the side lines. I have a surgery on 01/11 to replace my right thumb joint and when that heals my left. I'll then be able to hopefully grip things again. I did get myself a heat gun on Temu. Can't wait to use it. It's all good. I just turned 60 and a rough child hood and hard work has caught up with me. I can feel the craft bug starting big so I'll be happily crafitngs prims very soon. This surgery is not as invasive as the last one but it is supposed to be rather painful for a couple of weeks. Also it's in my right hand so that will slow things down. That's OK, I'll watch you girl. Thank you for the kind words my freind. Have a lovely christmas. All my love
