I agree with that!!! They remind me of the mail man saying “ “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep MDLR fishing from their rounds” Thank you Mark and son for your dedication in providing y’all’s channels for us to enjoy and learn from!
Heck yeah another good day of fishing. That was a nice 20 inch trout. Nice and fat will be good eating for sure. I've never had a lot of luck with popping cork catching bigger fish. I always find the big ones at the bottom as well. It's the same for fishing birds. The small ones are normally near the top so what I do is put on a 3/8 jighead and try to make it sink fast so I can get past all the small ones and get to the bigger ones hanging at the bottom of the school.
@@MDLRFishing Not a problem at all bro. Appreciate your channel helps keep me inspired to make content myself. you do my favorite kind of fishing. One of my favorite channels.
Hi nice video...u can make a line with 4 or 6 lures and a weight . Just moving a bit from the bottom. What u think ? I fishing with this lures in uruguay . Pescadillas..I don't know the name here ..looks like very similar..excellent fishing for eat too. Keep fishing !!
I wonder if fish change over time. I put a 31" trout on my wall thirty years ago with a redtail jig under a popping cork. I haven't been back to that location since then but it certainly worked once upon a time.
@@MDLRFishing It was a pretty cool trip. We got into a school of sow trout in Baffin Bay. For an hour we didn't land a trout under 26". Our tackle wasn't really heavy enough for those fish so each one took a while to land.
i usually dont get my bigger fish on popping cork, for shrimp imitations i like the way DOA sinks, usually get the better fish like that or with your tails or corkys, at least for me.
I am a native Texan and fish fresh and salt and you may want to share your locations with the ones who don't know the Gulf Coast: West Bay, Oyster Creek, Turning Basin, Christmas Bay, and many others, I promise they will not catch all the fish.
Good show as always. Call me a snob, elitist, or idiot, but I wont throw a cork. I wont use live either. Sure as hell wont use live under a cork. I wish croaker was a game fish so they werent used by anyone. To each their own.
I disagree with you about using live and popping corks. However I agree about croakers being used for bait. My 75 year old dad has photos of the times him and his brother would catch stringers of golden croakers in the 12-18 inch range as a kid in corpus christi in the early to late fall.

No. It’s a very tough task to go out, fish, come back home, put gear away, clean up, import footage, edit, upload final video to UA-cam, and then publish for viewing.
Hey Mark, would you mind posting some shorts of how to do the Ike Jime method in detail for trout reds and flounder as well as the rest of the inshore salt water species. I know you posted about it awhile back but I was wondering if you could get a close up or if you know of some educational videos you could share that thoroughly demonstrate the method. Keep up the great work 🫱🏼🫲🏽
Rain, sleet, or snow. MDLR will still be out finding the fish, while all the other UA-camrs have start hibernating for the winter.
Thanks for the vote of confidence bro 😎

I’m sure they just want to see something that looks similar to what they’re eating. 31” is a monster!!! 🙌

I don’t have a trolling motor but I have everything else you have. Do you think I could hold myself in place with rudder and foot pedals?
Not real good. You’d be better off with an anchor with a quick release
It’s a lot of work but doable.
I caught my 28" under a popper with a DOA. But also enough 20+ without a cork. Either way, it's always awesome catching them 👍
Nice!!
Nice catch and great eating! I eat the 20’s also but I’m sure you upset some kens and Karen’s lol for not releasing the 20+
To each their own, I’ve released my fair share of them too.

As basic as a DOA is, that thing pulls them in. My son taught me this firsthand.
