I don’t know how changing just the pitch makes the chase music so much creepier, but it highlights the other instruments way better rather than just the melody in the original. This changes the song from menacing cowboy western music to an eerie dying toon from a long forgotten ghost town. It enhances the atmosphere and you can really feel the souls from the dead victims. Maybe it’s because I can hear the other instruments better or maybe I’m looking too far into it, but I get way more of a horror vibe from this version
Off the bat when I first heard this, my thought was if they ever made a movie adaptation of the novel Desperation, this wouldn’t be totally out of place for an intro song.

i love how all you basically did was master it a bit better than the original and everyone can hear the difference Just goes to show that a little mastering can go a loooooong way
