Kit always manages to find the positive lessons we all need to learn amidst the chaos of successful regime operations by the West. I really appreciate his journalism.
""Chasing a new pig through the village every day." is a German saying concerning the constant flow of new "hot topics" and "hot takes" that describes the way a lot of "journalism" is done nowadays pretty well. Context, historic background and political analysis based on a solid stance of current events is very much needed
Syrians had severe sanctions and 90% lived in poverty. How do you fund a military with that sort of poverty? Syrian army didn't do anything? Armies move on their stomachs, hello.
So much for geopolitical analysis, Kit! The Syrian government was probably warned not to engage directly in the Gaza/Libanon War. The US can launch Tomahawks at any time at Syria. Even when Syria wanted to wipe out the ISIS pocket at At Tanf they were bombed in retaliation by the US. When Russia and Syria were launching strikes in Idlib Turkey was retaliating against the SAA. Lack of resources, lack of morale, encircled on many sides by hostile groups (AnsarAllah is much more insulated in thia respect) makes you want to make small, calculated moves and not some bloody all out war that will drag all kinds of players in.
Here for the algo: Wonderful to see Kit's latest Van Life sojourn. Looking forward to the house reconstruction episode. Alex's Coq au Vin recipe looks delicious, his reaction vids are some of the best on UA-cam. Love the cat section. Meow.
Ooh, hello, it looks like YT unsubscribed me. Resubscribed and rung the notification bell. Unfortunately, in his recent episode "Pangolin", Alexei Sayle and his editor/co-host were celebrating the the Syrian coup as a popular revolution and complaining against "leftist dictator-blindness". Some informing required there.
Every episode with Kit is amazing!

Comrade McKay, the name is pronounced as "Miloshevich", with Sh instead of S.) plz, it makes my ears bleed
Anglophones have hard time pronouncing Slavic names. I cry every time they say a Polish name. 😂
@nminkovsky polish is another level tbh..
