sadhguru he does not promote killing other humans because they eat a certain type of animal or they practice other religions. He promotes love and peace .
If any religion teachs killing of any animal or human ... What should we call it......inhuman or morally corrupt religion or cult
And at the same time.... he doesn't advocate one should eat red meat more so a cow. There is a video of his somewhere where he talks about it where he says cow even though an animal is much closer to human consciousness and since its like that..... Digesting it would be a complex process when compared to much simpler form of food say for example plant life.
So just like no religion advocates cannibalism, vedic culture extrapolated it slightly and included cow into things one should refrain from eating or any other animal but cow is specially mentioned.
This is not meant to be a rebuttle but I wanted people who read your comment get a complete picture. What you or someone else eat is upto you and them respectively.
I am sure there will be enough resources available online as to the significance of cow going into greater detail if one is interested.
