I've been thinking of building my new keg cleaner and then this popped up. I found it as a good deal here in the states so I figure why not. It's gotta be better than what I've been doing to clean my kegs, which is very manual work. I just picked up one of these this week and all I can say is WOW! Only 10 minutes with ABW to clean the keg, another 5-10 minutes on rinse, and my once really nasty looking keg is now sparkling clean like new inside. I'm so glad I found your review, so I could figure out how to put this together too, since it came with no instructions. Already very happy with my purchase. Thanks for putting this together! Super helpful! Cheers!
Definitely on my bucket list, excuse the pun! Great video, I really enjoy your work. I'm just about to return to brewing after a ten-year hiatus. I can't believe how much has changed. I'm going to use a Fermzilla all-rounder, brew under pressure, and go straight to keg, and then to 5 and 2 litre mini kegs.
Did a great job! I would love to modify it to wash/sani a bunch of bottles in batches. That would certainly take a lot of time and elbow grease out of the process. Very keen for these to come back in stock.
Picked one up on Wednesday night.... already washed 2 kegs and am now doing my 3 plastic fermenters...... only thing in my view is you need a deeper bucket so you can put the lid on while all set up...... Also will look to replace the top piece with a spray ball sometime down the track I think..... Good to be able to put on and walk away for 15 mins while it cleans the kegs....
Thank's for this excellent filmed and edited video ... one question though, I've got a 30ltr open mouth (35cm) fermenter with a flat bottom. I'd have to do some alteration to fit it onto the blaster but what bothers me more is that when the water blast hit the flat bottom it prolly wouldn't run down the sides and cover all surfaces? What's your experience/opinion. Thanks mate
@@mesittingduck I can't get discounts or anything, but using my links lets them know the sales come from me and they give me credit towards their things, that's about all I can do. Cheers
Is it true that Fermizallas have an “expiration date” of two years and after that you should not use under pressure? have you been using yours for pressurized fermentations for more than 2 years without any issues? Thanks for the great videos!
It is true, that's how long the pressure tested quantification lasts, the clear plastic fermentation part is cheap and 2 yearly replacement is easier than getting it professionally tested again
Yeah, a foaming cleaner is probably a bad idea. I used starsan with my fastwasher 24 and the foam got a bit insane, but more importantly the pump can't build up enough pressure because of it. Do you know of a good alternative for sanitizing bottles?
5 Star also make saniclean which is like the no foaming version of star san, low foaming. Also Iodophor, and even sodium percarbonate will work but it takes a lot longer to sanitise. Cheers!
how often du you fully disassemble your fermzilla to clean? ie the seal between fermenter and bfly valve etc? i have the 60 so its just so hard to get apart...
Rarely, my original fermentasaurus has never been apart since I assembled it. I've pulled apart my fermzilla once, was only because I saw people were having troubles and I wanted to see if I could get it apart. Cheers!
I use it all the time, umm not on my kettles but no reason I couldnt.. but on all my fermenting and kegs for sure, hasnt been one time I havent used it since i got it.
@@zt7489 it would make a mess, but no I dont find a need to put stella san in it.. I dont sanitise my kegs and its easier to sanitise a fermenter inside itself etc

It’s gold for kegs, kegmenters and fermenters you can’t get your arm in, I had reservations but after using it for years I’ll never be without one. Cheers
For some reason I always enjoy seeing a bit about how and where people live. Looks like a nice neighborhood.

Thanks for the vid Gash. We would totally agree we need to get some instructions for this one. Really appreciate the review!
I just bought this and there were no instruction so thank you. When I have a ?? I go to your channel first. Home brewing in Canada
Excellent review Gav. I just checked the price and I think it is great value. Thanks for sharing, cheers

that actually worked better than i expected it to, nice review
Got one of these last week and it works a treat 👍

you could make a rack out of pvc for bottles and plumb it in to the pump. id use a sumbmirsable sump or utility pump for higher flow rates

@@HomeBrewNetwork So do you have to pull all the lines apart to let them air, especially in a hot humid Aussie summer?
@@zt7489 I dont pull it apart but I empty it well and leave it out of the bucket for a few days to dry
Hey gav, how much Stella oxy do u use in 10l in the bucket
Nice Vid as usual Gash. So you wouldn't give it a wipe/scrub with a sponge after as well?
This is on my to get list for sure.
I've been waiting to see how well this would clean.
Awesome review Gash.🍻
Did much better than I expected! Cheers mate
Do you think you can use it indoors? Without making a mess.
Used correctly you could

She's a wild bit of gear, Gash.
I wonder how it performs with the 60 AR or 55 FZ.. Would have thought a sprayball at the end would improve the cleaning even more..
not sure mate, it had a far bit of kick. Cheers!
Great!
Been looking at those!

Forget the bucket blaster, I need some of those white flippy flops like my man Gash has
5 bucks from Aldi hahaha. I normally dont wear any but those rocks hurt your feet lol Cheers!

Starsan is a sanitizer not a cleaner/detergent. Try using PBW or oxiclean free
