Wow! Beautiful little flowers. I hope that the gum trees (Eucalyptus trees) can bounce back from the fires, as well as all the animals, etc. Watched the air drop of carrots and sweet potatoes from helicopters today, on the tv, to feed the herbivores that would be affected by starvation. What a wonderful thing for your country to do! 👍. Still in my prayers!
Thank you 💗 As bad as bushfires are, some of our natives do need fire to germinate their seeds so they will come back. I'm always amazed at the brilliant green colour of new growth against the black. Hopefully it does grow back through the intensity of these fires.
Fascinating. Not heard of gum nuts or seen them, but those are super cute. I’m going to go and look for pics of gum nuts now 😃...great video. Informative on how to make things and about nature too 💕💕
I sooo love the fact that I am not just seeing your soaping techniques but also learning more about Austrailia! First it was wattle, had to google that, now gumnuts! had to google them to. I love the flowers, they are really unique and beautiful! I look forward to the soap you make with these gumnuts.
EEEEKKKKK!!! I watched this in bed right after you posted it and was unable to reply, but WOW these are gorgeous and cannot wait to see the new soap!!!!
Whoa Never heard of these. So cool and thrilled that you shared. Thanks for the knowledge. Looking forward to the end soap 😀 wonder why they’re called Gum Nuts. Hershey kisses are definitely popular here and come in every flavor. It’s fun to visit Hershey Pennsylvania and the theme park and chocolate factory. They remind me of a sea plant/anemones. Since they’re flowers do they smell? Or the scent is the same as the eucalyptus plants?
Thank you 😊 Eucalyptus trees often get call gum trees and the name flowed on from there. They usually have a sweet nectar like smell to them. Good idea for the next sea themed soap 😁 It's been years since I've seen Hershey kisses. Usually in the boutique sweet shops
Lovely gum nuts Keeley, a perfect replica. I love the red with yellow tip gum nut flowers. Maybe you could have dipped the ends in gold/yellow mica to create the same effect. Looking forward to the weekend soap :)
That is so pretty. Are you going to make the branches also. Can I also use the grass piping tip for the flowers. I've never seen the tool you used. I very much so like the video
Thank you 🌸 I've made leaves for this one 😊 you might be able to use the grass tip but as soap frosting not soap dough. You find extruded tools on amazon/Ebay or in cake decorating shops
Thank you 🌸 The little blue tools are for fondant work on cakes. They usually come in sets with different shapes and sizes. The green tool is an extruder, also used in cake decorating.
These are totally gorgeous. I love gumnut flowers. They are sooo beautiful.
Thank you 🌸
I love when they are in flower - gets a little noisy with all the lorikeets 🤣

They are such a pretty flower. It gets a bit noisy round home when in flower as the birds love them 🌸
