I loved his anecdote about his time paddle boarding and how there is a deep knowledge/understanding that you only gain through truly grinding something out over a long stretch of time. Pushing your boundaries and truly perfecting what it is within your control. Pretty cool story and makes sense that if he applied that experience to his craft it was only a matter of time before he became masterful at it.

One thing, though - it REALLY bugs me how the camera on Korver gets brighter and darker all the time. Just a tip, guys - if you put a person with his back to a window, you need a constant light source infront of them to level up the overall brightness. And do NOT put the camera on auto exposure, because it's dumber than you think. It's going to shift the exposure like that more often than not.

Kyle!! Great to see you buddy!! Great hearing your perspective and voice!! I just heard the part you are not officially retired!! Get a deal back to Philly!! You know we love you!! Retire as a Sixer!! That would be ideal in my non-nba perspective!

I live in Santa Barbara, so that paddle boarding story was pretty relevant. Kyle is right about the sharks, too - there's a bunch of them between the Channel Islands and the shore (they eat the seals that live on the islands) and there are oil rigs out there and it's common to have cruise ships drop anchor in that general vicinity, and they can't steer any better than the tankers. It's really not all that safe between the islands and the mainland and paddle boarding between them sounds very hard.

Always loved watching Kyle Korver shoot. But this is random, he for some reason just reminds me of Ashton Kutcher. 😂
23:12 JJ's storyy about him shooting a three on the 3 on 2 drill. Love the complete flipside from hearing Korver's story. Love all these podcasts JJ, keep it upp. On another note, I would love to see you and Korver shoot aroundd in a gym and just talk basketball one day. Maybe even with Steph Curry in the gym also, that would be fire to see something like that happen. 🙂

Great interview gents! Kyle's an all around great dude. If y'all welcome some feedback, please clean the smudges on your lens lol. That smudge on Kyle's forehead bothered me while watching him talk haha.
