mikes voice is still unbelievable....loved NMHTP best they did since against the law in my opinion, the guitar melodies are awesome.... loving the new direction they are taking and really looking forward to listening to fallen.... rock on stryper..x
What I can hear from these samples is something giving me the creeps, these songs send shivers down my spine, they sound heavier though keepin' on catchy choruses and Michael's voice is never disappointing. I look forward to having this new album in my hands I think it's gonna be blast!
Glad to see so many hugely successful musicians judging Stryper on 30 secs shorts .... funny i don't ever remember hearing your name in any way shape or form on any album let alone the album jacket... Micheal i am so sorry that there are people that need to judge you and stryper long before the album evens drop. please understand they are a small very small group of people that don't represent the rest of us .... the 99.9% are very excited and cant wait for this album you guys have made ....
Im a huge stryper fan, just listened to these samples and not sure really at the mo,i think this one will be a grower, and will probably take a few listens to really be able to fully judge for myself!
Nice samples! Will cop the album as soon as it's released. I've been into Stryper since 1985 when I saw them in Trenton NJ on the "Soldiers Under Command" tour. God bless you guys; MS, TG, OF, & RS
Stryper has always been an amazingly talented band, but like I said when NMHTP came out. This band has found a groove unlike any other time and they started digging that groove deeper with NMHTP. With this release it seems to me.....They are continuing on that same path they started down with the previous release. I am so blessed to hear these guys continue to make outstanding music. Each one better than the last. It's a new day and age for Stryper after a long time away. What they restarted with NMHTP is continued with this release. Things are really looking good for this band as they continue to push forward. Stryper is back AGAIN! Can't wait for this album to release.
Muy bueno, excelentes canciones y sonido... Stryper siempre mostrando su gran calidad, fue, es y seguirá siendo una de las mejores bandas de Rock,... saludos desde Chile.
Thank u 777 Productions for uploading these 30sec samples of each song from 'Fallen'. Appreciate it very much, as the audio samples were taken down from Amazon. Hope this will not get taken down. I like what I'm hearing & can't wait to hear this album in its entirety! NMHTP was such an excellent album & Michael Sweet is saying this will be better than that. Hmm, I can't really make a full opinion on that until I listen to all of these songs in their entirety & to give the album a couple listens before I decide which album is better. But I know it's going to be very difficult to top NMHTP, so let's see what happens. I'm a musician myself, in my free time, & im just sharing my honest opinions with u right now, with as much love, respect, & kindness as I can, as Stryper is 1 of my favorite bands. Thank u so much again! Have a good one!:) Anil
PEOPLE HERE ARE JUST GIVING THERE OPIONS ...THEY ARE NOT JUDGING...i love the first track YAHWEH...i love the lyrics and powerful christ centered boldness...it gives me chills i love Christ so much ...but i must confess i like the pop metal sound better ...thats just me ...IN GOD WE TRUST and NO MORE HELL TO PAY are my favorites and this album is very very heavy metal ...PRASIE GOD FOR STRYPER NO MATTER WHAT STYLE IM ALWAYS A FAN
To me, if they have fallen(no pun intended) into their old habits, that's a good thing. Those first 5 albums are what drew me to like hard rock and metal. They were iconic and groundbreaking, It's what made Stryper what they are today. I would take it as a compliment to say that they sound like their older material. I still listen to that stuff today. It's timeless. Some of the best music came out of the 80's, especially in rock and metal. Stryper fan forever.. \m/
IM A HUGE FAN!!!! its an honor for u to still b playing, u changed my life forever, by the way pretty good album but i think u need to add more stryper sound into it, still an good album like usual. PLEASE GO TO BOWLING BROOK:TAILGATERS ONE MORE TIME!!!!! FOR ME PLEASE!!!
This album is going to be amazing! Love the melodies and heavy riffs. Heaven, Till I Get What I Need and The Calling are my favs based on these snippets (excluding Yahweh and Fallen since they are already available and both amazing). I think this is going to top NMHTP!
Oh, yeah!!!! So many people never have given Stryper much of a chance. That's their loss. This new album is mind-blowing!!! Stryper is still kicking heavenly butt, & taking names! This is what metal-and Stryper-is all about!!!
You know I've seen some people try to judge these samples against full albums and had negative things to say about this. Really? you can't compare short clips to full songs and full albums. I mean what's with the negativity? Stryper put tons of time, money, blood, sweat and tears into these albums for us. thinking maybe you all should be more appreciative..sheesh.. I think this album is going to be epic. I remember when Stryper released the audio video to revelation before the release the NMHTP and again people had negative comments on it. Then the album came out and all of a sudden everyone loved it. I'm sure this will be the same type of thing. Wait till it comes out and listen to it in it's entirety before judging... Real fans wouldn't judge clips in a negative way like that. I can't wait for this album Great job to Michael and the boys...
Great mix of "Old School" and the "New." Love the groove in "Pride!" Lyrics sound strong. I could live without the Sabbath cover. Overall, it is a very good album!
Great stuff on the tracks such as the choruses and loving that keyboard on Yehweh. This just rocks with a deep message for these dark times. Plus this is a good follow up to there last album and i can see where they are going musically-Epic Metal Yellow and black Attack! Ive got to get album art T shirt- its way cool! Satan getting what he deserves- zapped to hell by the power of God. Awesome!
Does anybody remember how hard Stryper pushed the album "Murder By Pride? That album had a few songs that were good, but it's the worst album of the Stryper catalog in the modern era (2003-present). Fallen is by far the best in their modern era catalog-It shreds Murder By Pride to pieces!!!
Yeah Michael Sweet still has a powerful voice. I saw them a couple times in the 80's. Awesome show. Yes you can have Heavy Metal with Jesus at the same time. Would love to see them perform live again.
Cecilia Roa Excelente! Ya teorizamos hacer esto! Pronto estaremos poniendo subtítulos en Inglés, español y portugués en este video y añadir el idioma español a los demás que sólo tienen actualmente Inglés y portugués! Gracias !!!
And to think...a lot of people gave up on stryper a long time ago. THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE!!! This second part of their career (from 2003 to now & beyond) has been amazing!!! I'm glad that Stryper came back!!! There is someone on here that voiced my sentiments exactly by saying that album is even better than No More Hell To Pay. He's right! The last album was one of my favorites from Stryper, except for one song-Jesus is just alright. In a way, I like it. But, in a way, I don't. Stryper re-did the songs, but it still sounds too much like the doobie brothers for my liking. Also, a few of the songs from no more hell to pay sounded a bit too much like the pop-metal tripe of the 1980s. Sticks and stones is one song that comes to mind that sounds like that. Yuck!!! This new album should be able to do a lot better than No More Hell To Pay. That was still, for the most part, between good and great. Let's see what Fallen does. This album is almost reminiscent of Soldiers Under Command and The Yellow And Black Attack. It's destined to become a classic!!! Hey, Stryper:KEEP ON ROCKIN', DUDES!!!
+bccombs98 Absolutely. They are doing a perfect combination sound with the 80's sound with some modern stuff of production. The ballad is supposed to be "the new Honestly". If so would be huge.
WFIST That's funny...all along I thought it was an original song by Deliverance off their "What a Joke" CD. Now, I see that they covered it too. I didn't know Black Sabbath did this song originally.
I knew it had Ozzy on the second I heard the music - I find it ironic Stryper covers Sabbath and not something Christian. I still love Stryper just seems the could re do amy grant or something lame and make it cool
Now that the stryper i love whay to go keep up the boldness for Jesus Christ i pray you'll never be ashamed of Jesus Christ as lot's of so called Christians music artists.actors.and people of other gonras lift Jesus Christ and God's yahawa Jehovah only word the holy bible the God of the only heaven the God of Abraham isic and Jacob jews and Christians the God of the only heaven!!!!
Mmmmmm not sure! Has Stryper gone Old School? It may be me but this doesn't sound as strong as NMHTP, which I thought was a cracking album. They seem to have fallen back into old habits. Shame really. Having said that, Fallen still sounds like a good album. 3.5 out of 5
Steve, And you're basing that on 30 second clips of each song? Geesh...... This album is better than NMHTP and that's saying a lot - NMHTP was my favorite...
Michael Sweet Michael Sweet - I think what Steve Sowerby is trying to say is this: Based on the 30 seconds of each song played - the 30 second segments all sound the same - even to me, and I've been a sound mixer in a studio before. Sure the songs are "heavier" but they seem to lack something that would set them apart from each other. I have the same opinion as Steve...from the selected 30 seconds of each song - it appears you selected parts of the songs that sound very similar to each other...I couldn't tell any major difference between them myself. No. 5 "Heaven" is the first change-up to the overall sound based on just these clips. Then you have the "obligatory slow song" of No. 7 with "All Over Again" and then you jump back to the "Heavy Stuff"! No - it's not possible for someone to "judge" or form an "overall" opinion for the entire album from just 30 second clips - but I also have to agree that as "Heavy" as it sounds - the OVERALL sense that I've gleaned from this group of samples leads me to say that in my opinion a few fans MIGHT be disappointed with this album - because the music and originality of each song is lacking in some aspect. I don't know what it is that I sense from these samples - but something SEEMS to be missing on this one. And in my opinion - "To Hell With The Devil" was Stryper's BEST album you guys ever recorded. "No More Hell To Pay" is second, and I would place "Soldiers Under Command" in the top 5 as I don't know which one's to place at numbers 3 or 4 - maybe "Murder By Pride" would be 4th and "Soldiers.." would be 3rd? Again - this is ONLY MY OPINION!!
I think Dana has hit the nail on the head. The samples are good but not enough to go on really. Well I did say I wasn't sure. My comment was just first impressions, that's all. No doubt when I hear the full album I will probably come to a different conclusion. We shall see!
Track 9,10 and the last one sounded nice and heavy but i don't want Stryper to go old school. I think Michael needs to work on his songs and riffs more, the album with Lynch is awesome but not sure that i like most of these tracks. Get Robert to do some drum rolls or drum fills man, he is such a generic drummer.
Slimebeast Pug Reborn wasn't that bad with the exception that it lacked solos, murder by pride is the worst and NMHTP is their best along with The Covering. I like 80's Stryper but my fav albums of that era hands down are "The Yellow and Black Attack" & "Against the Law" which is their grooviest and heaviest album of that time.
Slimebeast Pug you're right, i do favor those aforementioned albums but only musically because as i grew older my perspective of music changed a bit and began to enjoy heavier guitar riffs and groovier melodies. I am not saying those those other are bad but just not as well polished as the melodies and riffs on Yellow and Against the Law. With the advent of dissent from glam Metal, i favored heavier acts. And yes, it didn't sound a lot like Stryper "Reborn" but it was a heavier album and that's why i liked it, yes the only problem was the lack of solos but remember that times change and sometimes a band needs to experiment with their music so what i take from it was the fan input that Michael and Oz got from that album. In an interview Michael stated that fans wanted more solos so after that came Second Coming, The Covering and NMHTP, which are heavier. But the worst has been murder by pride. So yeah i might be one of those nut jobs that doesn't agree with the majority of Stryper fans but i am looking forward to this album and their song Yahweh is brutally amazing. I love it, it's heavier and everything you want from a Metal band with the Stryper touch added.
Slimebeast Pug the album was just a bit on the grungy side, even the ballads were a bit heavier than what Stryper is used to. Make You Mine and Passion sound like something Nirvana would play. Something along the lines of Sweet's Truth album. Cool stuff.
FINALLY!!!!!!!! Stryper being Stryper!!!!
Sounds like the old Stryper and I LOVE it!! Gives me chills!!
mikes voice is still unbelievable....loved NMHTP best they did since against the law in my opinion, the guitar melodies are awesome.... loving the new direction they are taking and really looking forward to listening to fallen.... rock on stryper..x
Excellent.....
God bless you guys

Can't wait... thanks for posting since I can no longer listen to the samples on amazon. So far my favorite appears to be "King of Kings"... thanks

Can't wait... Stryper, please come to Costa Rica!!
What I can hear from these samples is something giving me the creeps, these songs send shivers down my spine, they sound heavier though keepin' on catchy choruses and Michael's voice is never disappointing. I look forward to having this new album in my hands I think it's gonna be blast!

Sounds great. Much like the last one (No more hell to pay). I wonder if there will be a Japanese import with a bonus track...could be nice :-)
+MBJ861 The bonus track will be an acoustic version of the ballad "All Over Again" :)
Hopefully anyone who preorders gets the song Yahweh when it comes out next week

Is track 7 all over again a ballad cuz the part thats on this video sounds like it and the name does too. So is it technically?
+bccombs98 Yeah it's a ballad. Michael said it in an interview
+Charles Lincoln thats cool though. stryper is bringing back heavy metal the way it was in the 80s
+bccombs98 Absolutely. They are doing a perfect combination sound with the 80's sound with some modern stuff of production. The ballad is supposed to be "the new Honestly". If so would be huge.
I like #12 a lot. IS #8 an Ozzy cover?
WFIST Black Sabbath Cover - After Forever

would it be better they have returned to the melodic hard rock of "To Hell..."or "In God..."

Mmmmmm not sure! Has Stryper gone Old School? It may be me but this doesn't sound as strong as NMHTP, which I thought was a cracking album.
They seem to have fallen back into old habits. Shame really. Having said that, Fallen still sounds like a good album. 3.5 out of 5
Steve,
And you're basing that on 30 second clips of each song? Geesh...... This album is better than NMHTP and that's saying a lot - NMHTP was my favorite...
steve sowerby I agree with Michael Sweet says. The new album is amazing!
Steve, to base the album on samples is asinine. Wait till it is released to give it an honest review.
Michael Sweet Michael Sweet - I think what Steve Sowerby is trying to say is this:
Based on the 30 seconds of each song played - the 30 second segments all sound the same - even to me, and I've been a sound mixer in a studio before. Sure the songs are "heavier" but they seem to lack something that would set them apart from each other.
