- Visiting (and revisiting) some of the Kaweka Forest Parks most iconic huts.
Some decent weather and a few sika out and about.

We have hunted around Te Puke many times, the hut was just a surviver hut, wit old wooden bunks and so on, and we were filming with a camera the size of show box, and about 2 Kg hahaha.
A lot of Sika deer around and shot a few too, remember one day we saw 9 bunches of deer in different area.
Thanks for the ride mate, much appreciate it and to refresh the old memories, well done a 5* for sure.
With best regards Tony.
+waikarimoana Cheers Tony, glad you are enjoying the vids! Awesome country back in there aye!

If your not out there doing it, watching your video's is pretty good to inspire another adventure.
Enjoyed reading the magazine on the last trip when I followed you "Walking your Talk'.

Thanks Fred, glad you enjoyed the video mate!
Good watch, well done. I shot my 1st deer (sika hind) as a boy while bush hunting up a creek on the true left of the harkness valley, down stream from tussock and running up and over into the Mangatainoka heads, many moons ago.My old man, Dick Hart culled throughout the Kawekas in the late 60s and early 70s, Dad would hunt his way out to Tussock Hut in a day from Kuripapango via VT and Te Puke with pack, that's a good grunt. he'll enjoy the watch. cheers and hot barrels
Cheers Jas! Such a great area aye, yeh mate that is a bloody decent walk alright! Hope he enjoys the vid. :)
awesome Nick!

Cheers mate!
Just started watching your videos. Really enjoy them. Out of interest what pack are you using?
Gordon Crawley Cheers Gordon! The pack is a Markhor 42L Scabbard Pack. Well made and very comfortable. 42 litres is good for 3-4 day trips, getting close to capacity if carrying camera gear etc though.
newzealand gunsandhunting Thanks for the info on the Pack. Look forward to the next video.
Gordon Crawley You're welcome!
Hi I'd be interested to see what you carry in your pack please.
