An honest review. How refreshing. I’m so hard on gear with cutting firewood, hunting and especially when I was running sled dogs and everything that goes along with that. So nice to have someone who lives in the bush talking honestly about gear, so thanks for this video.
This is the only honest reveiw on UA-cam on Hestra Fält. I have them myself. The leather quality is not very good. Thin, and from hide that's been split many times.
I am wondering if Hestra using goat leather for these gloves is impacting the durability. The goat leather will give more dexterity but may not resist abrasion like cow leather. It would be interesting to see a long term review of the Falt Guide vs the Hunter Czone which uses cow.
Yep. I've seen that fault on other ppl's gloves. Seems the quality isn't really there anymore. Then again, other brands don't hold up either on this kind of gloves and their use-case. It's said, The inventor has had his, for 12Y or more, without faults. So the first ones where probably awesome, before they squeezed the profit.
I was. about to get htis gloves for Chritmas but now forget it ,they do look like the leather is very thing for working in the outdoors environment every day , Im a leather craft maker by the way.

There is almost no equipment made for people like us who are doing outdoor life for the living.
Good review.

Wrong glove for the job! Never designed for a full on heavy duty work glove. Love the video 👍
Yes, but they are sold as a heavy duty glove and they are expensive and do not last.
Maybe thick welding gloves with merino liners or other thinner glove inside would last longer?
I can’t think of any gloves that would withstand that use

Get some Kinco gloves and call it a day. If they rip, you just go buy new ones since they are much more affordable.
I have these gloves and the leather is very thin.
I agree, good video
