Flute is truly and definitely a divine musical instrument, as Lord Krishna played it... It is nothing but a hollow bamboo pipe with six plus seven holes on it! and the wind blown in a pattetn makes all the difference. So also is our life, hollow one with lots of holes in it. But it becomes like the divine flute; it all depends as to how we blow the wind, which hole we close and which others we keep open. ....

    Ahh, so delightful music.
I'm listening to it while working (I'm a web programmer) and it's mind-relaxing while being unobstrusive.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Namaste

i understand Prasad is from CA USA etc.It is matter of great pleasure and pride that the boys living in Western world did not forget indian music. There is a huge interest even in younger generations outside india in Indian Classical Music. We indians owe you friends. Here in india not a single TV channel is dedicated to Indian Classical Music. no one wants. Thanks and best luck in all your endeavors.

+Janardan Murhekar You are quite right. India is changing fast. All the culture will be found in Western countries. India is busy with Bollywood and unnecessary things not representing our culture.

Your are absolutely right Vijaya JI.This is not onlly with our music but for Indian Scriputes. culture as well. The Westerners' interests in Indian Religions and spirituality are on the increase and here at my own home, the people like you and me find ourselves in pathetic minority. Kalay Tasmaih Namah, what else?

Janardan Murhekarji, We may not be in this world to see it but in a long run our heritage like Yoga, philosophy, Classical music, art, all the values will be present in the West and people - including Indians will come there to learn it. That seems to be the ' Kal ' progressing.

Well said Vijayaji. It is on the one hand gratifying that the rest of world is getting more interested and involved in the maaters you rightly referred to.. Max Muller, a German Philosopher came here and authored many treaties on Upanishads, vedans and six schools, among many others. Dara Shikoh, a Aurngzeb lineage man translated all Upanishads in Persian and thence world, Charles Wilkiens, a young boy was brought from England by then VoiceRoy Warren Hastings, kept under the tuitionship of Banaras Pandits and finally this boy translated Bhagavd Gita in English and published there on 31st May 1785.! Now on this background what we see at our society and home is painful, to say the least. Thank you Madam for conccurance. You seem to be with Indian classical music in which i too am interested, but not knowing grammar. I love to listen.. by the way are on on FB? Thanks once again..

Thank you Janardanji, for your deep insight into different aspects of India jotting wonderful examples like Max Muller and others who got our scriptures also translated in Persian and amazing story of translation of Bhagvad Gita in English. Only the theory of reincarnation will explain such events of the world. I am on FB, and you may want to enjoy my group- Sangeet Sabha USA.
