    Ashley, i've taken apart everything from an air filter to the engine head and didn't find anything that could cause that 55 mph limit. From the 1st gear to the 2nd I barely gain the speed (although the engine revs good and rpm go high easily).
    I'm trying to figure out that issue. Will upload a video if a solution is found.
    Cheers!
    UPDATE: Seems like after installing POD filter it's important to go a couple of steps up on carb jets so it doesn't lose it's push. (pods and stock jets will make it a necessity to use choke every morning when start on cold)

    Hey Alexander, I have a quick question. Should the ER be added separately and then add the oil without mixing them? Should I turn on the engine at some point during this process? Thank you very much, great instructional video.

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  5 років тому

      MxSmack hey hey. No, please don't turn on the engine while the oil dip is out - the oil will splash. You can add it separately or pre-mixed - doesn't really matter.

    what is the difference between 150cc roadwin and 125cc roadwin.?? any physical differences??

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  8 років тому +1

      There is no difference; simply because 150cc version doesn't exist. People just round 125cc to 150cc for easy use (I think)
      According to their website, they only have 125cc and 250cc bikes. Even their scooters are all 125cc.

    for the additive what is the part of additive can introduce in oil ?

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  7 років тому +1

      Le Motard as of now, I'd say do not add any unless: your bike was sitting for years and you want to use it just for cleaning the system, or if your bike is old and you are going to do an oil change right away.
      There are lots of additives available in the market, some of them work even with a wet clutch (as on this motorcycle) but some can make the oil so silky that a clutch will start to slip what will cause friction disks to wear out faster. You don't want that.
      I'd use regular oil without any "concerning" features

    Hey buddy
    Very good video, I just have one question for you....what is the oil stabilizer for?

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  9 років тому +2

      Buddy Biker an oil stabilizer is a type of additive that enhances oil performance. There are some stabilizers that will ruin the clutch if transmission oil is not separated from engine oil; ER is probably the best choice I know of - Lucas is ok too if used on bikes whether with dry clutch or a separate transmission oil tank.
      It was a year ago I made this video - as I know now - for 125cc engine, there is no need to add any additives. The engine is relatively new.
      Additives cure engines of old bikes really good: clean up pistons, oil rings etc etc.
      So, whether you need the additives or not depends on what you ride

    • @badger5325
      @badger5325 9 років тому +1

      +Alexander Sviridov. thanks buddy, i've a 2005 roadwin vj125.

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  9 років тому +2

      +Buddy Biker oh, the same bike (almost). You don't need any additives in your oil system unless you feel like the engine is working less productive than used to.
      Check the compression, spark plug color ... That's all - if readings are as in a service manual, then leave it for another 3000-5000 miles (5-8k km).
      10w-40 oil (-20c to +40c) not necessarily motorcycle one.

    • @badger5325
      @badger5325 9 років тому +2

      +Alexander Sviridov She's a really nice machine and I am well happy with her, a real treat to ride and handles like a dream, even got 75mph top speed which is definitely an improvement on my old Suzuki GS125

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  9 років тому +2

      +Buddy Biker 75mph - maaaan, that's very good for 125cc. I couldn't reach faster than 65mph, RPM would go bananas; didn't want to burn the engine. There is a rumor that they have a sort of locker that prevent you from reaching higher than 55-65mph, but I couldn't find anything.
      Glad you're enjoying it!

      Oh wow, thanks for the fast answer! yeah when i am driving the sound of the motor is louder and it vibrates hard. The vibrates are the problem that make me thinking i do nothing wrong now. I destroy my bike with each ride more and more. Ok yes the bike has his 18th birthday this july but anyway i want to find the problem. I have asked so many people and they all said there are so many reasons it doesnt work correctly but nobody knows the real one. Thats why asking a profi as you Alexander Sviridov , who has many experiences with dealim bikes and can maybe find the cause ?
      I think the more i change something at my bike, it turns to more worse and difficult problems. Tomorow arrives the new spark plug and perhaps it works better. I hope!!!

    why do you use the stabaliser?

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  8 років тому

      It's good to clean up your engine; that time I just bought the bike and didn't know if a seller was doing maintenance accordingly. So, I added stabilizer to clean up everything inside. Did it ones.

    • @fabianbersch4794
      @fabianbersch4794 8 років тому

      how did you use it? does it come in the engine with the oil or before?? please explane a little bit!

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  8 років тому

      +Fabian Berger it really depends on the stabilizer /additive that you have. Usually it says on an instruction of use.
      Yes, it goes to the same oil tank you put your regular oil in, in a certain proportion (stated on a product)
      You can add it to an old oil before you're going to change it. (Add it, run a bike for 15-20 mins and do the oil change; this way you clean up the system and get rid of the additives that potentially can hurl a clutch)
      If you feel fine with additives being there all the time, add it to a new oil and run a bike till the next oil change.
      It can damage a clutch, didn't do to mine cause I used high performance disks and plates; good for dry clutch motorcycles: Ducati and Harleys

    Hello, do you have any ideea, this method works on Daelim Vt 125 F (1998) ?

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  6 років тому +1

      Satanro666 yes. Does it show any signs of a dirty carb? Like: bad idle, reach/lean mixture, dirty spark plugs?

    • @Satanro666
      @Satanro666 6 років тому +1

      I just changed the spark plug and its pipe, the mixture is fine (average of 3l/100km - in the city) just a bit lower on idle in the morning...but after the engine gets warmer it`s all good - and i mean in 0/2 degrees weather. The service where i went to change the tires, and do an overall checkup said the carb is all good

    • @roadtoquality
      @roadtoquality  6 років тому +1

      Satanro666 then just change the oil without any additives. Check an oil temperature chart (4:35) and use that oil. 10W-30 will work for you. I change filters every other time on all my motorcycles, so I don't throw it away every oil change - works well for me and all my friends. Also, regular oil works the same way as motorcycle oil - yes I said that. There are wars in the internet about that topic - if we can use regular engine oil in motorcycle engines, I say YES IF your motorcycle doesn't have a high rpm engine like sport bike that have up to 15k rpm. Anyways, it's a different topic. CHANGE THE OIL, DONT ADD ANYTHING ELSE TO IT for now.

    • @Satanro666
      @Satanro666 6 років тому +1

      the service i went for the regular check, changed my filter and oil too, he put Repsol 15-50 in it (summer can get really hot in Bucharest) and i also don`t want to be an "just when it`s nice outside" rider so autumn and early spring rides too so i think i`l stick with that oil.. it didn`t gave me any problems till now (only aroun 300km tho) but i was thinking of starting to change my own oil cuz..it`s better to know my way around my own bike :D from the previous owner, i heard that he used to have 10w-30 in it, but he`d have problems changing the gears, so idk... (i`ve only got my licence in October, rided for like... a month and a bit in total, mostly to work and back and the bike somewhere in november)

    • @roadtoquality
