UNC needs to give the game ball to Noah Burnett 4/4 in the field goal department in this game. This is one of the reasons why UNC won. The other reason, Minnesota's field goal kicker missed two huge kicks in the game.

It was crazy how the ball started spinning sideways for the last field goal, and the sideways spin made the ball curve right out of the up-rights. That was a tough loss for the Gophers.

As decades long Minnesota sports fan, I always tune in football games to see the obligatory chip shot field goal go wide left/right or doink off an upright. BONUS for then losing the game by 2 points! Will this ever stop? No. No it won't. Vikings will do it next week against the Giants. I remember Brad Johnson playing QB for the Vikings. Sorry to see his kid got hurt, hopefully he'll be back soon.

Carolina Defense front 7 and O-Line is legit. Hopefully they can help the QB out with better screens passes jet sweeps and take some shots deep to open the offense up more. Also study every opponent weakness on film and exploit them on both sides of the ball

Biggest takeaway from week one of the season….there’s ALOT of kickers putting up REALLY good balls from distance. This game was just a kickers duel. But watch the highlights of every game and y’all will see what I’m talking about. “Kicking struggles” in the nfl is about to a thing of the past.

Big10 is not used to speed and athleticism like this. Their plodding corn-laden style of play can’t keep up with ACC/SEC
Don't combine the ACC and SEC. UNC, ranked 8th to win the ACC in preseason odds, was lucky to get a win over Minn, ranked 15th to win the BIG10 in preseason odds.
On top of that the refs missed a blatant ineligible reciever down field on that huge pass towards the end.
Dude, what game did you watch? Carolina couldn't tackle a 4 year old. Not trying to be a smartass, but they couldn't move the ball against a high school team. Without Hampton and the kicker, they lose this game to a bottom feeder by ten. They are not good, and I'm a Heels fan, but I'm also a realist.
