That's truly AMAZING you flew one of the mini war birds with no gyro!!!!!!!!! You are the only man in history to accomplish the feat and you sir ROCK!!!!!!!!
Thanks man! Honestly, it's really a fun challenge flying the tiny guy without stabilization. Keeps you on your toes ALL the time...which is a blast :) But then being only 75 grams AUW and carrying such little momentum when it crashes, and being made out of durable EPP, I fly it fearlessly and just enjoy the heck out of it.
I have (2) xk-a180's and one is waiting on parts and the other flies really good after I figured the CG problem....which wAs fixed by using an Urgenex 600mah battery changed it to a completely different airplane. Also the rear of the plane flexes a whole lot not matter which way your flying. So I installed a 7" control rod on each vertical stab. into the fuselAge and now it handles like it's on rails! I'm thinking of taking all it's electrics and putting into the Eachine mini F16!
Sounds like a good winter project. Couple days ago we got snow, and this morning it was 14 degF outside, so I think I may have gotten my last flight in till probably March or April :(
Interesting. When you say it "doesn't like weight at all", what flight characteristics are you referring to? I mean what does it do that it shouldn't, or what does it not do that you expect it should?
Well I kinda stuck my foot in my mouth before I watched the video all the way thru LoL. Reason I said that was because I bought some 1s 850mahs thinking maybe these mini war birds just needed a little weight to make them fly better and the mustang actually fly great with them and the t28 is a buckn bronco with added weight.........so I thought until I seen a man on YT fly one for 10min!!!! That was truly amazing!
@@ant-man1131 Thanks brother! :) Now another question for you... XK doesn't make a Mustang in the 380 mm "mini warbird" size/format, so were you referring to the larger 560 mm XK Mustang, or are you talking about the similar-sized 400 mm Eachine (same as Volantex) Mustang?
@@SteveGergetz I meant the Eachine/Volentex type mini war birds. I just now seen this comment because I didn't realize YT had a "comment section" under notifications, so sorry for the delay in responding.

The wing loading is really wierd, doesn't like weight at all. You should try the mustang!
