As an OG London skater from back in the early eighties that has lived in Sweden since 1987, I am extremely impressed that England never let skating die. Here in Sweden we had a big In-line period back in the nineties but we have not had a skate culture for many years but there is a small scene with roller derby teams but no street skaters unfortunately! I have been so inspired seeing all these UA-cam videos from the States and now London that I recently made the plunge and custom ordered two sets of Quads, so, I shall have to try and build up a crew here in Gothenburg come the summer and polish up my moves 😂! Hope to roll with your generation in the near future!👊🏾👍🏾🙏🏾😎. 🏴🇸🇪🇹🇹
Great to hear you’re back on skates 🙌🏽 There has been a wave of returning as well as new skaters and the culture is growing each year. Street skating and jam skating are both pretty popular in London and there are lots of meet ups, international trips and new skate festivals appearing which is very exciting. I’m sure the skate community will emerge in Gothenburg too! Looking forward to catching you all at one of these skates soon 🛼 🙌🏽✨
