And then at the end of the episode nick and Ellie will be on the couch at one of their houses with a film on, talking quietly (like in pitch perfect 1 when Jesse and Becca almost kiss) and ellie will say something funny and they'll laugh and look at each other's eyes/lips for a bit. Then nick will sort of look away, then his eyes flip back and he says "I love you, B". Ellie looks into his eyes and says "yeah, I love you too, nick" and he does his half smile and they kiss.
