Nostell Priory ~ Grandest Palladian House in West Yorkshire, England | Quick Walking Tour

Nostell is one of the grandest houses in the north of England, surrounded by 300 acres of parkland and gardens. Created as an ambitious statement by the Winn family between 1725 and 1785, generations added to the richness of the house, from Robert Adam interiors and a world-class collection of Thomas Chippendale furniture, to priceless paintings and antique curiosities.

Visited approx 10 years ago.....beautiful house, but during the visit many of the rooms were quite dark.....curtains drawn to keep sunlight light down to a minimum.
