I really hope she will have a great year and a Grand Slam title this year! She just seems so cool with the competition and the difficulties. I really hope she wins a major tournament someday.
I'm a loyal fan of Halep and saddened when she lost to "always complainer" Wozniacki. I hope that she can bag even one of the 3 remaining Grand Slam this year.
Ah, so you are not uploading the Suárez Navarro-Svitolina, even though she beat a top 5 for the first time in 2 years... Carla Suárez-Navarro 7 6 Elina Svitolina 5 3
JordanjamesX Svitolina is one of the best players right now, if not the best. Probably only behind Wozniacki and Halep. So why don't we get any highlights?
Cristi Robu You must be stupid. No one is garenteed a 100%, there’s still heaps of other great players in the draw. There’s Kerber who got her to 9-7 in Aus Open and who is in my opinion playing better than Halep, there’s Pliskova who smashed her last year and there’s garcia who beat her in Beijing! Just an overall stupid comment, did you even look at the draw before you made the comment lol -Pliskova -Garcia/Kerber - Osaka -Kasatkina -Suarez Navarro - Venus Williams They are all top 50 and more than half are top 30, and Halep has a 100% chance, I bet she’ll choke in the final 6-0 5-0 40-0 Up with a shot ball halfway in the court with a fist pump in her hand but the other player challenges and is out by a milimetre.
In the meanwhile Garcia is out. Kerber is playing good tennis, but I dont think its enough to beat Halep. Pliskova its not a problem for Halep. Pliskova beat Halep only once in 7 meetings.. I see a final Halep vs Venus. Just my 2 cents.
Gabriel Hernandez Pliskova isn’t out. And I dint like to use head to head, New year new players. Look at Angie, if you compare her last year h2h to this year it will be horrible, all I know is haleo and Kerber, Pliskova vs Kerber, are the most likely answers based on form for the whole year.
Its not her thing. Shes short with small arms. Shes a born baseliner and should keep it that way. In this match she went 4-5 times to the net. Lost all points.
Weak excuse. Henin was also petite for tennis but was making use of the net. The same with Vinci or Strycova who are even shorter. Halep often loses points or wastes too much energy (that has a long standing negative effect) on avoiding net game. I often watch her and think ... she should have finished this point 3 shots ago already (if she went to the net she'd have won in those situations over 80% of time) but she retracts back behind the baseline. 3.30 point is the best example. It also creates pressure on your opponent. It's like she has volley alergy.
Stan It’s a matter of being comfortable at net. If Halep doesn’t want to go up, it doesn’t matter because she’s gotten this far without having to play up at net half the time. It’s preferred to go up to net, but not everyone is GOOD at net and not everyone trains to be a volleyer. She’s a baseliner and she’s strongest there.
Both Vinci and Strycova are very good double players which helped them alot. Halep rarly plays doubles. Its to late for Halep to learn to go and play balls at the net. She cant afford to lose a match just for the sake of learning to play at the net. Because she clearly has to learn to play at the net. I get and agree with you that sometimes she can win points much easier if she goes at the net. But its clearly shes not comfortable doing it. I did see her going to the net more often in this tournament that in any tournament. Maybe its something shes working on.

Anyone watching this before the Miami QF?
I'm a loyal fan of Halep and saddened when she lost to "always complainer" Wozniacki. I hope that she can bag even one of the 3 remaining Grand Slam this year.
She should make the final given her half! She's been doing great lately.
Quality is more than G. Slam and titles, enjoy her game.

AnteDiluvian Svitolina is not really a top five player has a poor record in slams.
JordanjamesX Svitolina is one of the best players right now, if not the best. Probably only behind Wozniacki and Halep. So why don't we get any highlights?
R&S Railroad Despite the amount of views, Svitolina is one of the most hyped players of the last 2 years. So what happened WTA?
No worry. They're just waiting for Suarez fotoshop&retouching! :)
She probably will win indian wells this year.
Halep like Pliskova are consistent yet cannot seem to win slams.
JordanjamesX a pity
the way halep has improved herself with time is just amazing..she need only a major slam under her belt ..
a player 100 times better than pushniacki..
Just get over it man, she lost the finals at the AO, it's over. Stop being so salty wtf
Kenneth Lim exactly
I’d Halep was a true grand sla, champion, she should’ve adapted to her game style. Stop wth the excuse, they don’t win slams.
Gross exaggeration. Woz played well to win her slam. Simona should win one soon, hopefully.
Pushniacki is out
Gracias
Halep as number 1>>Woznaicki n1>>>>Kerber n1>>>Pliskova n1>Muguruza n1
Bravo Simona!
Simona Halep will win this tournament 100%

VNT I see Kerber vs Halep. Mainly because Kerber is in red hot form and because she already beat venus this year.
Pliskova and Garcia (out) are not rivals for this Halep. H2H 6-1 and 3-1. Just Venus have a good h2h againts Halep (3-1) and its been years ago

I like Halep, but she is afraid of going to net...

Halep is so determined and focused. Halep w00t :)
Halep is definitely the one to beat
