Thanks for sharing your process! Found this extension recently and it has been very helpful. You can also blur the English subtitles so that you have to roll your mouse over the text in order to see it. It allows you to practice translating the sentence yourself first before seeing what it actually says. Such a great tool!
i’m so sorry but i’m really bad at how things work with language reactor. what should i do to have this chance to have it? i’m on the website but what should i do? i have to download something and probably is for only certain advice (android ) idk . thanks for helping me 😅please
I came across your video while looking for how to use the color coding in Language Reactor. Your thorough walkthrough was exactly what I was looking for! I wasn't aware of the [1] key to slow down the playback, either. I'm going to start using it. I agree with you on the 'input first + immersion' school of thought. Thanks for taking the time to create and share this.
@@Creolio I'm a native speaker of Japanese, been learning Korean now which presumably is relatively easy for Japanese natives. I had earlier learned English and French by 'true' immersion (living and schooling). Now trying to decide how to use the different colors so I can export certain color-coded words into Anki app. Good luck with your Chinese study!
Wow, this extension is amazing! I don't know about Scissor Seven though. It's a great show but half the characters have pretty strong accents mixed with dialects and some Cantonese😂. Not easy for beginners.
Good point! It's easy from a vocabulary perspective in the sense that it uses a smaller base of vocabulary, but I guess you're right about the accents. I'm mostly learning w/"The Rational Life" which is an office romance that also has a small vocabulary base, but which is more everyday language, and the accents are pretty easy, I think.
@@Creolio Hi, Would I basically be limited to ONLY the few titles available? I say "few" because l am looking for THAI audio. If l go to language reactor, then go through Netflix catalogue as you did, only 2 pages of Thai audio movies /shows are available.
@@Emma-gi5zi I wouldn't trust the catalogue listed on the language reactor website. It's not up to date. Just use Netflix directly and try watching any Thai movie there.
@@Creolio I have netflix the MOBILE package, the options are only ONE audio (english) and ONE subtitle (thai). So.... I cannot choose additional ONE thai subtitle and ONE romanised transliteration. So....how do I go about this.
@@Emma-gi5zi Ah. Netflix sometimes only provides a few of the truly available subtitle options. To get them all, you have to go into your settings and change your language.
do you know how to export my own dictionary(from iphone's app) to LR? not by clicking one by one. i have ReversoContext on my iphone and it making flashcards and etc. want to synchronize these at least by manually with my CSV exported from another app. if you get my thought...
I wanted to use LR, but I don't know what happens with mine that instead of showing me Chinese vocab it shows as if I know Chinese and I'm learning English. I'm checking lots of videos to see what is wrong, but I still couldn't figure it out :(
Yep if they have auto generated captions or captions in general you can translate with them been using it to learn Italian mostly through watching UA-cam videos
i was just surfing the internet i never knew i would come across such underrated high quality content, thanks chief

Doesn't work on tablet? I can't use it like this

Thank you so much for breaking everything down! So useful! Been really wanting to improve my Spanish and Italian since my boyfriend loves there 😅😂
Language reactor translate only 100 words/day.
Please help me bro how to unlimited it
In translating Chinese, it appears to me that there is a difference in the order of the written and the pronunciation, why
Hmmm... I might give this a try. Nice recommendation.
Great video matey! Appreciate it. I opened up LR and was errrr...lol
Hi. can you help me i don't have the correct chinese translation what's the problem?
Very useful video.
How do i get pinyin subtitles along with the characters

did you find out how to fix it
have you tried reading a book
Why does the Chinese translation appear in reverse?
Really good video. Good tips. Thanks.
How can u see pinyin? I’m trying to deal with that since one hour😅
Hey it should be in Settings > Scroll down til "Transliterations" > Set to with original form or transliterations only :)
Does language reactor only work on desktop? And not on ipad?
Correct
It works on iPad with the Orion browser!! (using it now)
Can you use this on youtube?
