- This 30s Ford is sitting on a Blazer frame, but she's ready to hit the road again. Wow do those HEI distributers have some shocking power!!! Watch to see if I can get this classic beauty running! @treetop.garage @okspeedshop @highoktanegarage @WhiskeyDents @TheHomeWrencher_1776 @1776_Garage @Tannerrebuilds @greezyzgurage @OutlawEdge @honestpeytonsspeedshop @HODGEPODGEDODGEGARAGE@JosephFranklin-bd4qv @ViceGripGarage@thedirtheadshed@TheHomeWrencher_1776
It really helps my channel out of you like and watch until the end! Thank you for helping out!
Does that Louisville have a 391 in it? I ve been looking for a 391 FT awhile.
Congratulations! Great video for a great brother!
Thanks a bunch!
Derek Bieri is messing around with a 35 right now That is what you have
Yeah I seen that his truck is also pretty sweet
Great video man!!! Cool find. Looks like that spark plug incident was exhilarating 😂
Thanks
That's one rust free truck
It’s nice
😊
I think it's a 1935 Ford. Look on the firewall drivers' side for a patten number plate. It might have the original VIN which would tell you the year. Ford has many sights with tons of info. Try Mac's, Van Pelt, Bob Drakes, Heinzman etc. They are all suppliers and some offer lots of tech info, Nice truck. Good luck.
Rich
Thanks for the info!!
That thing is sick
Nothing like an HEI biting you to make you feel (and appreciate being) alive! You've earned a new sub, thanks for the vids.
Thank you ! I definitely don’t wanna do that again!
I dont know what I'm talking about?? Sound good!
Sweet great find nice ole truck ! 😁✌
Yep it’s pretty sweet
That things awesome
I agree
Beefy old truck!👍
Oh yeah!!
ford on a ford
Yep
Keep up the content man. The chanel will blow up. Just keep going.
I definitely will! It’s ppl like you that keep me motivated
I like the ford frame swap idea
Vice Grip garage is going through the same truck. His was a 35 Ford. Hope to see more content.
I like his truck
I know all about that human spark plug trick. I've zapped my self on more than a couple of occasions. LOL!!
Yep got my self a time or 27
I think you could get the Titanic to start up. Lol
Challenge accepted!!
@@ClassicCarRevivals Lol
Keep it all Ford
Hey bro, do what you think is best. I'm learning from many and you are one.
Thanks i appreciate it
Great job up there Sparky😂 I’ll never forget, leaning across the metal tubing and grabbing hold of a wire of a 6AL woke me up. Did you know that your Nutsack is a good conductor of electricity?😂
I did not know that! I will have to be more careful now haha!!
I'd name it *Jolean* . When you put the bed in, you could fix a little recessed door to get the fuel float out so you'd never have to go through the misery of dropping the tank.
Good idea!
I really like old trucks and cars those days of being on the road with them are pretty much history
With people like me were trying to save them
@@ClassicCarRevivals yea and I appreciate it too there are others I’m subscribed to that does the same
@@ronaldcarmony3068 I try to follow as many as I can
Keep it like that
It is pretty cool how it is
50.000 hei is a ton , and you really feel it , lol thanks BigAl California.
Thanks for watching BigAl
I’m with you, brother, as far as a Chevy being all Chevy, Ford being all Ford, etc! If it was me, I would remove the body from the Chevy frame, and mount it on a Ford frame, and build it right, with a 427 Thunderbird engine, a 5 speed manual transmission, and a 3.73 geared 12 bolt position rear! Keeping 35x10.5 15 inch tires and nice mag rims, and, dual exhaust with headers and glass packed mufflers, K&N intake system, &, NO COMPUTERS ALLOWED!! I ‘d like that! What about you?
I like the way you think
Very cool 🤙 I just bought a pair of 36's a 5 window coupe and a pickup on an early 70's corvette frame
Nice
Well I watched all the adverts and the video twice hope that helps sir. All the best from 🇬🇧👍🏻
I really appreciate it ! Thank you!
Shocking
I was shocked! Anyways… heading to bed I’m zapped.
@@okspeedshop time to recharge
What a beast!
Just came over from Whisky Dents channel.
Subscribed 👍
Thank you!
Get it driving good
👍
Ditch the chevy frame and motor. A ford should be a ford!
👍
Good stuff..chev motor is da way 2 go...got one it my old ford...its a no breaner ...
Sounds good!
That’s a nice ‘35
It’s a 1935.
Thank you! The guy put a lot of work into it
He fucked that one up. A 35 frame is great for a Mustang 2 front end with rack and pinion. And a 9 inch in the rear. 302 or SBC is good for that.
Vicegrip garage has a good idea of using 2 cycle mix on a first start. He says to never use either on a first start after many years of not running.
Yep I feel the same way!!
Name it badass Billy
I think like you, the crown vic front end and explorer rear would be nice. Make a good cruiser 🔧🔩
Yep cv mite be a little wide for the fenders gonna pull a tape soon and find out
I say its 1933 , slight slat in the grill and outboard headlights. 1938 headlghts in the fender.
Nice thanks
Love it
Love it 😁👍🏼
Thank you
Let it be
A shocking experience! Lol
It got me good
Ether is good for reviving an old diesel 👍
Yes
Dude I think the IPhone 7 was made a little before the truck was!
Yepper lol
Hell yeah brother
Oh yeah!
Very cool Truck I like the stance with the blazer chassis under it. I vote to leave it as is, but would also be very cool on a smaller frame lower to the ground maybe bags under it so many possibilities with those all of them are cool but not sure I’ve seen one that stands for, thanks for sharing your pain with us. Always fun to watch others get electrocuted great by the way just tripped upon your video here and I’m sold. I’ll watch more.
Thank you
Sounds just like a Chevy! Golf ball in a five gallon can, well shaked!😂
😀
Cool video
Thank you!!
😊😊😊
My uncle got out of Vietnam because of mosquitoes
I don’t blame him those things suck
@@ClassicCarRevivals He got Malaria
Pretty badass looking looks mean what those rims and tires looks mean
I’ve caught my arm hair on fire reaching over a carb like that.
Same. I still didn’t learn haha
@@ClassicCarRevivals 😂😂
She’s a beauty
Yep
Really cool ole truck. If you want to make it to the parade you should leave it on the Chevy platform lol. I was electrocuted with 7,200 volts so I felt it when you got zapped.
Oh man I bet that hurt like hell
@@ClassicCarRevivals it didn't feel good.
@@MillCreekFabShop I can’t even imagine
Vin # is on the top of the frame driver side about a foot back from the grill
Thanks I will look for it
37 Willys? I could tell by the grill.
35ish ford
It's an awesome truck. Looks a lot like a 34. But I don't know. I would just get it going and enjoy it.
Yep that’s the plan
@@ClassicCarRevivals awesome
It’s probably beating backwards.
That sh_t hurts don’t it. Still remember when I was 14 and workin on my old Monte Carlo when I got it
I should’ve learned by now lol. Thanks for watching
1935 I have one
That’s cool! Does the box look like yours? Someone said box mite be newer
Even if it don't make the road it'll make one mean paddock basher
It would!
Cool truck i remember one several years ago very similar to this 35 36 ford truck the original frame was hacked and was to badly done it was set on a blazer s 10 chassis. The truck is solid for the year i hope you use a 2 wheel drive original type chassis and make a nicer style street rod . I tried several times to buy the truck there are several ways to build and power your cool truck a 48 53 ford flathead is very cool but expensive the y block is also very cool but also expensive but the 289 302 is a very good very cheaper way to go a 331 stroker with a nice cam not to radical and 3 pedals in the floorboard is a lot of fun. Side note the 35 to 40 ford cars all types and trucks used the same frame the only minor difference was the truck center x bracket was a little heavy duty but still used the exact same mounting points. And if you use a flathead check into using a mustang 5 speed with a open drive shaft a explorder rear axle is 3.73 5 lug on 4.5 with and the 2 wheel drive with a arm front suspension is also a good fit and there are a very few 2 wheel drive explorer with factory 302 power all 302 explorer used p heads and fI and it is possible to use the explorer dash cut down and then use factory wires and Factory fuel injection and get 20 mpg no problems .lots of work but the crown vic is way way to wide and long the explorer 4 door frame is correct wide and very close on length the bed will have to stay shallow to clear gas tank and the higher rear frame rails but it will set low a 2 wheel drive ranger extra cab short wheel base is same wheelbase a 2 wheel drive single cab longbed is just a little bit to long but you get the idea. Thanks for sharing your cool truck and saving a old ride while giving younger guys and gals a little motivation to build them something that they to can be proud of self respect and self reliance go hand in hand thanks for reading if you made it this far
Thanks for the pointers if I end up buying the truck I will keep this in mind thanks
Nice,,I like this pickup ,,like it a lot ,,,,hey you didn't check the other 7 for spark 😃😅😅 👍 👍
Next time I will check all 8
That’s what I suggested 😂
That's the name I'd call it that's the name I would give it bad ass Billy
Nice
I d put it on a Ford frame. And let me know on the 391.
Leave it as it is!!
I think I’m gonna! The original builder had a vision and I wanna respect that!
The rims are going to cut into the tire you need a 3-inch lift kit body lift kit 3 in
Leave it like it is !!!
It is pretty cool
Gonna nickname ya sparky 😂
Ain’t that the truth
@@ClassicCarRevivals I promise you’re not the only victim 🤣🤣
@@bryanguthrie-ej1fb I’m sure I will get zapped again
I agree with you take that Chevy motor out and take it off that frame and put it on a F100 frame and crown vic front end and explore rear end
That’s 12 bolt posi rear.(Oops! 🤪🤪🤫🤫)
I am guessing maybe a 36 chevy
Thanks for tuning in!
Has a 1935 hood and Grill
Nice
Not a 38. Earlier. Hood, side curtains and grill are wrong for 38. 38 had 85 hp flathead, mechanical breaks and crank out windshield.
Thanks
Leave it like it is and sell it to me!!!
👍
Did you check crankcase oil?
Yes I did
1935
Thanks
Here
Sweet
Look for a 91 2 wheel drive explorer or mercury mountaineer the first series the later series are to big
Great idea
That HEI will knock you on your bum.
It did 😄
It's also not running on all it's cylinders!
Nope new plugs and wires will fix that I hope
Call me crazy but everything behind the cab is 1938 & up
I was wondering about that. Thanks
Play lift kit 3 in rims are not going to work
I not sure what year it is but I know it's older than 38
Awesome thx
RADIATOR COWL LOOKS LIKE 34
Thanks
35/36 Ford truck. Get rid of the blazer frame.
I agree
Is that a 4wd? If so give it a lift and enjoy it cause that is a very cool rig👍🇺🇲
I think I’m gonna!
please get starter for ir plose
Yep
Put it on a Ford chassis. Maybe a Ford bronco 70's? Ford stays on Ford
👍
Tires are 2 big?
Yep
37 grill?
Not sure
35 or 36 , on the grill. Hoodsides are 35. We have three 36’s , one since 69
@@alanhickey7433 thank you
F100 frame
I like the way you thinks
Why would you not oil the cylinders?
There was oil in my gas
Why would anyone turn that into an automatic?! That's so lame!
The guy building it had ms
Sounds as if it's misfiring.
Probably was crappy plugs
No 35 ford had an overhead valve engine.
Yep flatheads only
1935. possibly 1936
Cool thanks
I didn't laugh when you got shocked. Much
Sure
sorry u spoiled video when u opened the hood there was a old stinker chevy sitting under the bonnet ....would expect a flat top ford v8 hiding under there disappointed
I agree wish it was at least Ford powered
@@ClassicCarRevivals yeah sorry bloke been a strong ford man here in Australia 43 years even to this day never been left stranded on the side of the road in the many fords ive owned over them years and now
that truck has not been sitting for 30 years
Do you know the truck ? And the builder?
