The thing I like about the video game designs is that they designed the alt mode in a way that it looks like it dont need a human driver. That always resonated well with me since cybertron is an alien planet and the cybertronians dont need drivers, they can drive themselves
Even after all these years, this is not only one of my favorite Optimus Prime figures, but one of my favorite Deluxes ever. Both modes are great, transformation is complex but not frustrating, articulation is solid, and its based on a fantastic design.

The first two games were a wonderful nod to the G1 80's cartoon while mixing in the modern lore from the comics. Plus rumors had it that if Activision hadn't dispurst the original HighMoon Team, we would've gotten a tutorial like in the G1 cartoon where the Decepticons wake-up first on earth 🌎
One of my favourite figures of the era, which is saying something. He’s wonderful in both modes, only really lacking in his accessories (always wanted that axe, but 3P companies had it covered and the T30 Orion Pax had a really good axe for him too!) I always wished we’d gotten slightly bigger versions of Optimus and Megatron to scale with the High Moon Deluxes (Bumblebee and all those guys) If they ever revisit this universe again I really hope we get a ‘studio series’ size Bumblebee, Jazz and Sideswipe remake. And a proper Iron Hide/Ratchet from that universe too, for IDW completionism…

I've had this one for over 10 years, it is one of my favourite Cybertronian vehicles. I've never had the opportunity to play the game, but the design is incredible.
