Elf looks like your wearing makeup & the L'Oreal looks super natural!
Yess!! The loreal one is so good!!
The L’Oreal lumi looks the best the elf shows heavy an shows every little thing on the face. I like the L’Oréal for you
Yesss!! I totally agree. I do think that Elf has more coverage, even more than Charlotte Tilbury
Yeah was going to say the same
Thank you for comparing these. Your skin looked equally beautiful with either one. While I think both have their merits, I went with Glotion because my complexion can change from fair/light to light/medium with the change of the seasons. I thought with the more sheer coverage, I could get away with getting the Glotion in one shade and make it work as my skin color changes.
I totally agree! I would say that L'oreal is more flexible with your skintone changing
I just bought the L'Oreal Glotion. I'm glad you did a comparison because I was thinking about getting the Elf liquid as well. It gives more coverage than L'Oreal, but I like them both. I will use a primer to mask any imperfections and then apply the illuminators. Thanks for the review.
You're welcome!!! You can't go wrong with a good glow!!
Thank you for this! You definitely cleared up my choice for me 🫶
Yay! I'm so glad it was helpful 😌

Ana! I was seriously just wondering what the comparison was, I LOVE glotion, but sometimes it's a little much, there are tiny glitter chunks, which does not look good on my skin texture. thanks for doing the review!
Wow really?? I read your mind lol What shade of glotion do you have? I feel like medium is more perlescent
👍 Some of Elf's products are amazing especially for the price. Thanks for the comparison ☺️.
You are so welcome! Elf has some pretty amazing products, they continue to amaze me
Like the lumi more; is more subtle which is what I would usually go for.
I agree, both are beautiful. The Lumi is more subtle 😊
It’s metallic because it has tin oxide. Which is white powder. Tin man face. My elf review is going to be brutal❤
Thx for this review! My skin tone looks very close to yours and I was wondering which color of the Loreal you liked better, light or medium? I think I’m looking for more glow than coverage as I use a concealer for uneven tones on my face. Thx!
You are so welcome! Medium is really beautiful and natural. Light will give you a little more glow because it's slightly slighter
I have the L’Oreal glotion and love it, still can’t get my hands on the elf, first three shades are always sold out at Target and my Ulta doesn’t carry it, but maybe I’ll just stick with the glotion honestly I don’t really see a difference once it’s on your face, thanks for the video.
You're welcome! I think the elf has a teeny more coverage. I've always repurchased the loreal one, its amazing
Thank you SO MUCH for reviewing these! They both look great and nice to hear how they feel on the skin. I'm wondering if the Lumi has any sparkle? I have the Maybelline skin perfector and it has these tiny sparkles (not my favourite). But the Glotion looks more like a pearl finish? Thanks again Ana for putting this together!
Hey!! You're welcome! So Lumi Glotion has more of a perlescent finish. Definitely not sparkly. I don't like shimmer or sparkles either, they show too much texture.
Would love to try the Elf - but they have not restocked it since it launched.
Ohh no!! I know Target just got it in stores!
Which would you say is closer to the Tarte glow wand? I usually use the glow wand mixed with some moisturizer alone or under my foundation and am looking for something to replace that.
Hey, I've never used the tarte wand but the elf halo glow would definitely give you a glow. It'll wear nicely on bare skin or under makeup
I know I’m a year late to this video but thank you for the comparisons and are you possibly able to remember what nail colour you were wearing? Love it and thank you!💕
Hey!! You're so welcome!!! Yep, it's one of my favorites!! Essie Geranium 🥰
I think max factor also has a luminous one thing, could you maybe also compare thisbone to the elf and lumi?
Do you know what the one from Max Factor is called?
I just read the comment below about glitter ✨ chunks in the L’Oréal product, please tell me if you also noticed it when you applied it to your skin. I know at my age glitter would look ridiculous. Thank you 😊
I never noticed glotion to have glitter chunks. It's more of a perlescent glow. I personally don't like glitter either as it highlights my texture. Now, I've used shades light and medium in the past and never experienced glitter. Just a pearly glow
I appreciate your response. Thank you!
Thanks for the review! Does the L'Oreal irritate your skin? I've read and seen lots of reviews stating it irritates sensitive skin, feels heavy, and causes breakouts. I have the elf in shade 5 and am thinking about buying L'Oreal in Deep or elf in 6. OMG, the choices!
Hey!! I haven't had any break outs with L'oreal. I like it a lot! It's moisturizing and lightweight ❤️
Been waiting for this video! Do you think it’s better to premix glotion with a tinted moisturizer? Or should I apply it on my skin then layer tinted moisturizer over it? I just want to be as dewy as possible lol.
Love it!!! Hmmm I always apply the glotion first than tinted moisturizer. I feel like that glow peeks through more than add a little more over the tinted moisturizer 🥰
@@AnaReczynski I was just hoping glotion is better since I bought it just before elf released theirs. 😂
What shades are you using, both Elf and L'oreal?
Hey! Shade 4 in elf halo and Medium in Loreal
Did you get any acne or breakout from the lumi glowtion?
Hey! No, I didn't have a reaction. I am on the drier side though. Did you have a reaction?
👍🏻👍🏻
😊
what about dry down and/transfer?
They both dry down, I think L'oreal does a little quicker. I personally haven't experienced transfer.
@@AnaReczynski Thank you Ana! I have a question and maybe you can help. I’ve become extremely oily in my late 30’s, I’m having the hardest time finding products to keep me matte longer than a couple hours. Possibly any suggestions?
@One Beat Momma hey! Of course. So I love the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm. They have in universal and tinted. This helps with oily skin. I've used it on clients for makeup and recently used on myself. I'm dry but my upper lip gets sweaty its really annoying. This keeps makeup in place.
Which has more coverage
Elf has more coverage
Please compare elf halo with becca light shifter dewing tint if you have it
Hey! I dont have the becca but I am hoping to make a trip to Ulta soon. I can try to swatch there and get back to you
@@AnaReczynski is becca still available at ulta?
@@ysa9 I just checked, it's not. I thought maybe unde smashbox it was but only the highlighter is there 😦
@@AnaReczynski yeah 😞
@@ysa9 are you searching for something like tinted moisturizer that's dewy
Does it matter if one is silicone based and the other is water based?
Hey!! I don't think it does. Sometimes silicone based creates a blurred effect and some may want that. I love either depends on the day 😄
😅 I went to the beach and mixed both of them on. 😂I just wanted to glow.
Love it!!
yes they have the similar glow
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Question for you I see that every time you put on you face a product primer or foundation, you skip your nose your chin and the upper lip space, I just asking ok no bad intension here ok.
Oh my, I never realized I did this. Lol so, sometimes I skip my nose when it's irritated and red like here because the makeup sometimes burns my skin when it's raw. My upper lip sometimes because if I have have a sweat mustache cause then it disappears and I have this reverse racoon stash lol. My chin I typically sheer down. I typically apply foundation where I need coverage then sheer down everywhere else. I have to keep this in mind, I do it put of habit 😊❤️
