This is EASILY the best melodic doom death metal I've ever heard. So no question it wins that title for the year and is inevitably untouchable. That's a pretty specific genre though, so I'll go further to say this is the best 2022 doom album period. Ben and Greg have the midas touch. Everything they touch is gold. Together they're an unstoppable force. I hope to see them perform together very soon.

I didnt even realize Gregor had created a new band until two days ago when I saw the review for this on Angry Metal Guy. Between this, Vallenfyre, and obviously Paradise Lost, this guy is one of my hands down favorite guitar players.
Job is done and thats the spirit! Not a single track is weak and there is definitely not much of Vallenfyre, which was great too. Thanks alot. Season of Mist did a good thing to hail Strigoi.
