World Cup 1994 was pretty big in Sweden too, so Joakim surely followed it closely. Brasil knocked out Sweden in the semifinals before this epic battle against Italy.

The idea of playing a game vs having wars is actually the way the world leaders should go. Just train up your best players and send them in to do battle. Costs less with no loss of life, and in terms of proving who's right or wrong, it makes about as much sense.
