You know the beautiful part about american democracy is the capacity for change? The constitution has no language regarding the 1790 immigration act in terms of highlighting only whites as prospective citizens. The immigration and naturalization acts have been and will amended to keep up with modern thoughts. Refer to the constitution for the gold standard of american fundamentalism. If the founding fathers didn't expect "diversity" of though, or PERSONS, then why doesn't the constitution mention colors of people or specific religions? Because they believed in diversity buddy.

ANy legislation passed in the 1900's is irrelevant to the founding fathers ideas. And this legislation was not to promote white culture but to diversify america. the 1965 immigration act stopped national origin quotas and made it easier for asians, africans, southern europeans, and other white/non white countries to immigrant. The 1965 act is the major reason for the diversification of the US. So i ask you what point are making? this statement contradicts your previous thread.

As Tomi was saying before being interrupted, there is no problem with having complaints. The problem is with trying to fundamentally change our country.
So many countries already exist with the systems that many people think that they want. These people should go to these places and stay for years. Make sure that those places are truly the type that these people want. Go to Venezuela, China, one of the many Muslim countries, or whatever they think they want. If they like them, they should stay.
I don't like what is going on in the country, but this is closest to what I want. If I wanted socialism, I'd move to a socialist country. Why would I stay here while claiming that I like another country more?

I really appreciate this guy. Big Media outlets need to try much harder to achieve a balanced representation of the key elements of the major relevant issues (as he seems to strive for). America would be much less divided and slower to anger if we could reach this level of communication! The Constitution guarantees my freedom of speech. It is the fundamental value of American democracy. Every major milestone of our social progress comes from disagreement with the current status quo. It is our right to question and challenge when we feel indignant and wronged.
