Olly Builds a miniature kids car. It's a 3/4 Scale WW2 Willys Jeep built from Suzuki Jimny and Honda Quad parts. The Jeep will have fully operational Four Wheel Drive, with Locking Wheel Hubs and will run on petrol. The Ideal Kids Project at Home, and the Ultimate Kids Toy to Keep Kids Occupied.
In this Episode, we show how Install the Brake Lines, Dash Cluster, Shovel and Pick Axe, and Tool Boxes.

maybe I missed it but the headlights were hinged to the front grill. they were done that way so if you broke down at night you could rotate them backwards to shine light in the engine compartment
Yeh, that was an amazing feature wasn't it. From what I've researched only the earlier jeeps had this, it was later dropped as demand grew for higher production volumes during the war (not sure if the GPW's had flip lights, I'm sure someone will confirm).
We haven't installed flip lights on the mini jeep at this point but I guess they could be retro fitted, maybe for another episode. 😉 👍

@dinofemanda4768 It's funny, we have had exactly the same thought! Oliver never met his Grandfather due to Cancer sadly, so we may plan a sponsored trip across Scotland in the jeep for Cancer Research in memory of him.

really love the attention to detail but the right hand drive really throws a wrench in the works. there was never a jeep made with right hand drive otherwise great work!

We're in the UK so needs to be right hand drive. They did make a post war RHD conversion kit, so there are a few rare RHD's kicking around mostly in Australia as the LHD was illegal to drive there for a time.

Todo lo q puedes haser e invenrar en un pais desarrollado...aqui en mi pais el salvador ...construyes una carreta y ya te la decomisan las autoridades...no tenemos aqui esa libertad de crear cosas personlizadas ...aun somos dependientes del desarrollo y creatividad de los paises desarrollados .
It's a great way to decompress and spend some time with my lad whilst passing on the (little) knowledge that I have. I don't know how I would cope without the ability to break out and get creative.
Next challenge will be finding somewhere we can actually use the jeep, spare land is getting hard to come by these days.. Scotland, land of the free 😊👍👍

Manual wiper blades for windshield? will you install?
Yep, haven't got round to researching yet but will be either vac, elec, or manual wipers.
We might potentially put it in for an IVA to see if it can be registered for road use, in which case everything, including the windshield, would be removed ahead of the inspection for "off road" use only 😊.
Next episode might be rounding off lots of body parts/edges to 2.5mm radius.. 🤣

Qual o valor (orçamento) pra fazer um desses?
It's a good question. We haven't recorded the costs, but the donor vehicles were around 1k Gbp. At a guess I'd say the materials and various parts were probably around 2.5k... and a significant investment in terms of time.

Absolutely, I love these things..! It drives well given that it has almost the complete Jimny drive train/brakes etc. It has a surprising amount of flex, although it does have 4 link front and rear 😊.
It seams fairly low geared, which isn't a bad thing in a 4x4 kids jeep, but then we've only driven it in the driveway and had it up to 2nd gear so far. Cant wait to get it out on a good trail run..
