Does the time change everytime the screen turns on when entering the car. I have the same screen. The time can't be save in the setting. Have to change everytime

Thanks! A follow up video coming soon. Basically there is a small lag in the beginning but if you move the slider just a bit it aligns again with Tesla speaker. I didn't see any lag using a Bluetooth headphone.

@@ShivaSapkota over headphones there wont be much lag, but if we want the audio to be routed to tesla's car speakers, you will see 1 sec lag. basically any you tube video you are playing on rare screen, audio comes after 1 sec. So, lip-sync issues while watching videos on rare screen. This is issue on tesla BT side, not on this device side.

I recently installed into my new 2023 Tesla Y and while all the connections fit, the Unit itself is not fitting flush, the bottom slides right in and although the top is firm, there’s a big ugly gap between the screen and the arm rest. Is it possible they sent me the wrong size like off an older model or are they all the same?
I could use some help. I have 2023 model bought in June I removed all panels but i cannot find the MCU connector anywhere. Is this some new wiring from Tesla ?
My main issues is air flow. Those slits seem to small to feed the rear of the car for proper cooling in the summer. Heat will come from the floor under the seats but the AC needs to come from that slit. Is the air flow more intense? i have been waiting for this model to come out. But again the airflow is issues number 1. Can you make another video talking about that? Thanks for the information

I installed the 7.2 inch screen on my 2021 M3 and my screen model has a front passenger seat adjustment control which i didnt connect as i dont want kids to mess with front pessanger seat. I have noticed that after installation all my usb ports innfront and back along with the wireless charging not working do you know is this because i have not connected the front pessanger seat wire to it?
Thank you. It is not the front passenger seat but a little pin that you have to connect in the back to cap off your OEM Tesla connector. Once you install that cap, the USB ports, wireless charger etc will start working. If your kit didn't come with the cap (it has two wire loop), contact the seller.

Well done! On this video you indicated on Model 3 you did not need to connect vehicles USB connection, but for the Model Y Hanshow provided an additional connector. In addition to connecting, it to the vehicle USB connection where is the other end connected.
Thank you! The special Hansshow connector only has pins on one side to essentially cap off the existing USB-C plug. It doesn't have another side. Tesla won't provide power to the front wireless chargers unless it detects that the back USB C harness is plugged into something.

Shiva, I just noticed when controlling the rear vent speed it adjusts the entire car's air flow and not just the rear. Have you had that issue? Also, adjusting the main screen fan speed on the tesla no longer adjusts the car's air flow anymore.

The carplay doesn't have mirroring feature, just the normal Carplay apps such as waze etc that are not very beneficial for the rear passengers. Thank you.
Don't pay over price to begin with. Hansshow charges 2~3x comparing to Aliexpress. I got the exact same thing with same layout 7" monitor for 210 usd. 7.2" goes for 260 usd.
This is amazing! I was waiting for one that looked as OEM as this. So, I'm finally going to get this one. My concern is with power draw and the S3XY buttons. I would love if the display could have a function where it can tell if there are rear passengers (Which the car already does) and automatically turn off the display if not. This way, the screen isn't unnecessarily using power. Is that what the auto lock is doing? Or does that just display the lock screen after some time regardless of if the rear is occupied? Second, that same port is utilized by my S3XY buttons module. Is there a splitter? Would it interfere with it?
You can Daisy chain multiple connections on that rear CAN bus connection. Cable management is more difficult with more connections, you’ll have to stuff some wire into that open cavity under the center console.

Thanks Prakash! Netflix is not working for me but everything else is. It comes with Android 11 and I will ask Hansshow if they will support 12. The chip is Qualcomm with 4GB Ram and 32 GB ROM. This version is much stable and probably because they used a higher power Qualcomm chip compared to the previous version. I would want them to use Linux honestly and just pre-load apps. Their Linux Carplay front screens are much stable compared to Android.

It turns off when Sentry mode is turned on when the car is not active. You can set it to turn on the screen savor but generally when you close all the doors, this screen goes black with the main screen. Thanks.

I think it will have lag over bluetooth about 1 sec, as this device communicating with tesla audio over tesla's bluetooth A2DP protocol. So you will end up audio video lag if any video getting played on this rare entertainment screen.
If you Model Y was built in Austin, apparently Tesla removed that blue plug. Reach out to Hansshow, they will send you a plug that goes in the front OBD instead. Thanks.
Hello Shiva, I installed this version of the 7.5” rear screen for my 2018 Tesla Model 3. For some reason, all the streaming apps are not present. How did you get them to download, specifically Netflix. The one that I have loaded does not work.

No it doesn't and I don't think any product out there can do that at the moment. It will only show in the back. This has to do with Tesla's not willing to work with after market products. Thanks.
Hi. I have the S3xy buttons accessory that has already utilized the OBD2 port. I'm wondering if there is a y connector so I can plug in multiple accessories into one OBD2 Tesla port?
You can directly add this cable with the S3XY button harness (daisy chain). It works for both but the space gets crammed down there. Your outside bracket might not snap in place. Thanks!
I've been able to resolve almost all the issues I had with this screen. the only thing is that the time setting never sticks. Whenever I turn on the car the time on the rear screen is way off. Anyone know how to remedy the time issue?
The vent noise is the same as stock. I didn't see an error message when the seat button was unplugged but just it didn't do anything when you control the seat from this screen. Thank you!

Nice, but the front-seat-control I do not want to have on the rear-row! Is there an ability to deactivate this and additional an blocking/overwriting by primary display available?
You can override climate control and seat heater from the main screen and you can just not connect the seat adjustment. You cannot override games etc from the front as they are not connected to the Tesla. You can however adjust the volume, play, pause etc on what folks are watching on the back. Thank you!

@@christhomas5804 Hi, you can only disconnect the seat-adjustment, not the frontseat heating. What Shiva is saying about the seat heater is that you can change it back to your desired setting if someone has changed it from the rear-seat display.

Shiva, I think the Netflix issue is related to the download that was recommended on their website. I assume if you do not update the display with it, it will not play.
The air flow is stronger because of the smaller vent but I think the total air you get in the back definately decreased with the smaller vents. The V2 of this display had a pretty good size vent. Thank you.
I'm interested in this as well before I pull the trigger. Those slits look tiny but if more air is pushed out to keep the rear cooled the same I'd be okay with it.
Version 2 looked better without having all that black bezel around it and without the silver plastic plus you had the full air vents in the back. Tesla's can get pretty hot before you get in to drive. It was 87F outside today and 135F inside the car. It wasn't an issue. I just turned the A/C on before I got to the car. This version is good because you now have Bluetooth support. I guess I could get this unit and mask off the screen and paint that horrible silver plastic or maybe be bold and try to wrap it with something. Otherwise I like it and I'm seriously thinking of buying one.

The airflow in my opinion is restricted and doesn't work like the original vent. It is much stronger now but lower volume. Thank you!

Can I daisy chain that obd plug? I have the automatic trunk installed and have a plug in that obd connector already. If I can daisy chain them, does it matter which cable is connected to the original obd?

Curious on what offline video formats it supports and do you have to save it on a usb drive or can you save it on the screen device?
You can transfer it to the screen via usb stick. It takes MP4 from what I saw. Thank you
Does this one sync with the front screen? IE: If you turn on the heated seat in back, does it reflect that on the front screen?
No it doesn't and I don't think any product out there can do that at the moment. It will only show in the back. This has to do with Tesla's not willing to work with after market products. Thanks.
Hi. I have the S3xy buttons accessory that has already utilized the OBD2 port. I'm wondering if there is a y connector so I can plug in multiple accessories into one OBD2 Tesla port?
You can directly add this cable with the S3XY button harness (daisy chain). It works for both but the space gets crammed down there. Your outside bracket might not snap in place. Thanks!
I've been able to resolve almost all the issues I had with this screen. the only thing is that the time setting never sticks. Whenever I turn on the car the time on the rear screen is way off. Anyone know how to remedy the time issue?
Did vent noise increase compared to stock? Do you know if we'd get an error message if we don't connect the seat wiring harness?
The vent noise is the same as stock. I didn't see an error message when the seat button was unplugged but just it didn't do anything when you control the seat from this screen. Thank you!

Is there an ability to deactivate this and additional an blocking/overwriting by primary display available?
You can override climate control and seat heater from the main screen and you can just not connect the seat adjustment. You cannot override games etc from the front as they are not connected to the Tesla. You can however adjust the volume, play, pause etc on what folks are watching on the back. Thank you!

@@christhomas5804 Hi, you can only disconnect the seat-adjustment, not the frontseat heating. What Shiva is saying about the seat heater is that you can change it back to your desired setting if someone has changed it from the rear-seat display.

I tested this in my follow up video and you cannot connect two Bluetooth headphones at the same time, you have to chose one for the audio output

Is 4g internet an a sim slot integrated? In top bar of android screen there is a grey symbol that looks like mobile data connection. Thatswhy I wondered.

Hey! Great video. Anyone else has issues to actually push in the new display? I cannot get it to "click" so its snug to the armrest. I very concerned that I will push to hard. Sorry for language. English is not my first language :)

I think the Netflix issue is related to the download that was recommended on their website. I assume if you do not update the display with it, it will not play.
Thank you! I tried updating but it didn't work so I just went with the APK. Disney plus is still broken and Hansshow is working on a solution.
How does the air flow matches with the actual ones. Looks like the vent is small and lack airflow controls.
The air flow is stronger because of the smaller vent but I think the total air you get in the back definately decreased with the smaller vents. The V2 of this display had a pretty good size vent. Thank you.
I'm interested in this as well before I pull the trigger. Those slits look tiny but if more air is pushed out to keep the rear cooled the same I'd be okay with it.
They shipped me a screen and the harness has nothing to connect too, send me video on how to install and harness in video didn't come with package
Version 2 looked better without having all that black bezel around it and without the silver plastic plus you had the full air vents in the back. Tesla's can get pretty hot before you get in to drive. It was 87F outside today and 135F inside the car. It wasn't an issue. I just turned the A/C on before I got to the car.
This version is good because you now have Bluetooth support. I guess I could get this unit and mask off the screen and paint that horrible silver plastic or maybe be bold and try to wrap it with something. Otherwise I like it and I'm seriously thinking of buying one.
An updated version 3 with larger airvents and 4G connectivity is coming soon :)
