Very nice Brandonian. Very nice! I like this fight alot, I can't understand how incredibly stupid it was of Hagler to fight as n orthodox boxer the first rounds. He really gave them away. And I hear people talking about Leonard didn't win it in a nice fashin. I think it was great, IMO his greatest abillity in boxing was that when you wanted to trade, he was never there. And when you didn't expect it he would land a flurry on your ass. Very smart fighter, very hard to fight. Both men are legends.

leonard always hit and move like a rabbit. if he stayed toe to toe with hagler he prob would have been k'od or at least kd. his game plan worked great and made hagler look like an unskilled amateur fool. much like the mayweather-canelo fight. same styles, same execution

Leonard did not win this non-fight. Hagler was the aggressor, the champion, and landed the more damaging punches. More body shots and Leonard gets stopped. All Leonard did was tap and run and NOT do enough to take a champion's title.
+Daniel Mendoza ...I watched it live back then, and watched it dozens of times since...Leonard wins on points every time...every time!...brilliant strategy beats aggressiveness...a welterweight goes up in weight, repeatedly in his career and beats the best in every weight division...Leonard was a monster...

Use the bigger man's strengths against him?The welterweight did not TAKE the bigger man's title. Every time Marvin hit Chicken Ray he shook him up. Every time Leonard tapped Hagler, Hagler still moved forward. 6 taps vs. 1 BANG do not make it in favor of the tapper/runner. Hagler was the aggressor. Leonard was the runner. Leonard, just like Mayweather, was afraid to fight.

He wanted the war it wasn't the better solution but 118-110 for Leonard, it's not possible.

I'm disappointed at the lack of bodywork by hagler. A fighter bouncing around so much is too difficult to hit with head shots
I agree. Body punches are the way to stop the movement of a boxer. Leonard was too slick to hit on the head. If you look at his first fight with Duran, part of the reason why he went toe to toe with him was because Duran killed him with some horrific body shots which cost Leonard to not be able to move around that much. Hagler just never showed up in this fight.
