You make wonderful videos. With all of the stuff that happened, the one thing that stood out for me was - sure you had your moment BUT you didn't fall off the rails. Instead you made a very tasty healthy meal and kept yourself and Frank warm and safe, then tried to relax with some sleep. In the morning you gathered yourself together and got on with the day and got yourself to a garage. Sure what you did was risky, but you have skills and experience over the last 8? or 10 years. Keep believing in yourself and your skills and listen to that inner voice that keeps you safe. much love :)
It is definitely obvious that you're classes are showing in your videos,at senior age,I wait and watch all of your films ,it makes me happy to see you and Frank being so free and blessed. Thank you.
That was THE BEST sponsor PSA, Amanda, I watched it all the way thru & I hope to BUY land in the VERY near future! Hugs to Frank, thanks for the paw print with my stickers 🐶 Safe travels in the US!!! ☺️💚
I'm very glad you're OK. To prevent future anxiety related to an issue like this, please consider picking up an inexpensive adjustable wrench, and/or a large pair of channel lock pliers. Either of those would have easily gotten that nut a lot tighter than your hand. Thanks for sharing your adventure, looking forward to the next ones...
Yeah those lower control arms are pretty robust and chevy has been using them for ages. I had a hot rod '69 El Camino that used the same exact setup, so one day I notice that not only the outer nut was gone the whole bushing from under it was gone. car still drove great, and I frequently went past 100 mph everyday in it, so no telling how fast i went with no bushing lol.
That's an awesome view @00:17 seconds! Most pictures of the snow ❄️ do not show the glistening 💎 like sparkles! Thank you! UBU that's what makes you wonderful! 💜💚
Thank God you were able to get to a shop with honest men working and I love how they explained everything to you instead of trying to swindle you. Keep on trucking in the 🐕🤦 USA 😄👋🙋
Hi Amanda and Frank!! Nice road ride… l love how brave and adventurous u are, but also with common sense. Keep on trucking. Stay safe and warm. Much ❤❤!!!
Isn’t is amazing that the cap was right there where you got stuck in the snow … Isness … although future Amanda could have given you a heads up 😂 .. great video as usual! Namaha

I LOVE your sense of adventure! And I LOVED your Discountlots double Amanda bit! So creative! Yep I have to say Everything about this blog was fun n beautiful. I so admire the way you just Go for it Consequences be damned! Be Hugs to you n Frank....n Truck for not stranding you out there!🙏🏻❤🤗🐾
Wow could your “misadventure” have saved you from a catastrophe!! You wouldn’t have found the mechanical fault if you weren’t digging under Truck and found the cap in the snow!! You could have had a serious accident.. love your honesty explaining your mental state and your adventurous spirit. You GO GIRL!!
I love the adventure. Fun way you filmed the discount lots part!! You remind me it’s fine to do challenging (risky?) things with prep and proper cautions. Love that point, too - it’s not about completing the thing at any cost, it’s about doing the adventure enjoyably, safely. Love Frank in his coat! Glad you found excellent and kindly mechanics. ❤
Whew! Nothing like a little adrenaline ! You did make that soup look much better. You and Frank are safe...and adventuring, and that's all that matters. 👍😎📷🐾🇨🇦❄🙏
Amanda I can say this much. I would honestly go on any adventure with you and Frank with no reservations. You are so level headed , confident with excellent problem solving skills. I would feel safe. Those mechanics took the time to explain everything because they need you were not this little weak damsel in distress . They knew if you had all three correct tools you could do it. Another thing your videos have truly become top notch. You seen so comfortable in front of the camera now nothing seems forced. Your cinematography is so good I just love it. Well I'm excited for the next one. Keep trucking good vibes sent your way for you and Frank💕🐕👩🏞️🌄💕
So proud of you! I feel the same way 👍 as a chronic pain sufferer, n having negative effects from a failed fusion, I've been trying to be a Nomad for 4 years. Unfortunately I hvnt been well enough, but this year I will. I support your journey gf n having lived off grid I ABSOLUTELY get the need to meet challenges! BRAVO ❤️💯! WELL DONE! 👍
I really enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming….I’m 72 and FINALLY pursuing my dream of building out my own van conversion on my 2012 Ford e150 van. You inspire me.
One of only maybe 3 video creators that I watch because you keep it honest friendly and having a great doggie as a companion and a beautiful lady with a great sense of adventure and humor makes for a Great videos to watch stay safe much love and Good vibes y'all's way
Amanda needed a mechanic, She’s cool and didn’t panic. She turned around and headed back into town, Before the problem became, Overwhelming and gigantic. So, if you find yourself in the Same situation, keep you head And you will not go down Like the, Titanic.
You go girl!! Live vicariously! You did a masterful job of the whole situation. Boy, I tell you Frank trusts you 100%. I’m looking forward to your next adventure…. 25:07
I like that you go into details about the mechanics of what you have to do to your van. It's good for people like me who know nothing mechanical to be able to learn some things at the same time as being entertained 🙃
I was just like you when I was younger I loved adventure. I once drove from Kelowna to Whitehorse using only logging roads straight through the middle of the province. It was early April and still winter in Northern B.C. and the Yukon. I had a few scary times, 20 foot walls of snow and barely making it to the next gas station but I made it. I took the Alaskan highway home though and it was so much easier. I guess what I’m saying is I get what you are doing, just be careful. Have a great time and I am very impressed with your willingness to not only try new things but also concur them. Happy travels !🦋🐕
Watching your joy the last video and this one despite the challenges is refreshing!!!! So thankful you were safe and overcame the trials of exploration !!!! Thankful you turned around and found a basecamp and got out safe! Win win 🎉 Man you persevered and worked hard and poor frozen hands. Tough experiences and adversity can make us stronger or weaker. Process it all through and through to walk away stronger !!! You amaze me Amanda! Hi Frank ❤️❤️❤️❤️
At 72yo I am living vicariously through your videos. You are doing things that many of us only dream about Amanda. Give Frank a big juicy kiss and hug. Hopefully we will all be together in the Paradise we dream about. Soon. Very Soon. Love you girl. Keep on Truckin’ 🌈🐲💖
Here I am. So glad 😊 to see you this morning. 35 in N Texas. Loved seeing Frank looking for a stick. I'm sipping a cup of hot tea, thinking ☕ of the cups of tea 🍵 that you show . My Bible 📖 on the table, Flag 🇺🇸 upon the wall Happy trails to you guys
Your resourcefulness and grit and self confidence is so inspiring, and how great the mechanics were available and Truck is fit for continuing your adventure. Have you considered one of those InReach phones? I’m sure they are pricey, helpful in remote areas for safety.
Hey Amanda, what a fun video and I am glad you guys made it out of there safe and sound and I’m glad you got it to the mechanic, and they and got it fixed for you what a beautiful drive in Nevada and California. You and Frank are so amazing so much fun thanks for taking us along on this amazing adventure. You guys be safe out there and stay warm.🇺🇸♥️🙂👍🙏🐾🏔️🚐🇨🇦
Amanda you are such an awesome strong woman I can't wait to meet you I've learned so much from you already I know I can learn so much more I'm doing the van life because of you you have shown me that life is more than just being stuck in one place and not being happy thank you for being you keep up the good work give Frank a pet for me and hopefully I'll be on the road soon I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 and two dogs I'm going to do the van life I'm going to do it 😃🐕
Oh Amanda, That was a close call. I'm glad it worked out okay & that you & Frank were okay. Thank goodness the Mechanic was kind enough squeeze you in. 😍😁🇳🇿🇦🇺 Keep Safe. 💜💚💜
I'm always impressed with how levelheaded you are. Pushing your limits but knowing when to stop and access the situation. And Wow! Frank doesn't like coriander, does he? Lol.
I appreciate your sense of adventure and that landscape looks amazing. As someone who works in natural resource conservation those road closures should be respected and honored especially in the winter when you are not traveling in an off-road vehicle with 4x4 capability. Your situation ended up ok but it wouldn't be hard to slide off the road or damage your vehicle in a way that makes it incapacitated in an area without service or a way to get help. i know you like to challenge yourself but please take care in dangerous weather especially since Frank wouldn't be able to walk out of there with you to reach help if it was necessary.
I know right where you were, lol! I'm so glad you were able to get Truck fixed, and you and Frank had no troubles getting to the shop. Keep on adventuring. ❤
Probably my most favorite video to date!! If a person can be proud of a complete stranger, I am of you. I get it. I was in a very remote forest in S. Dakota and almost had to call for help and being able to keep working with my van and knowledge base and getting myself back onto the road and on my way was quite liberating. And I love the coined phrase, "perceived safety." Thanks for sharing your adventure Amanda. And Frank looks so good! :)
I'm so proud of you for going on these adventures and Having the courage to go so far, you're a trooper 👍👍👍 I can't wait until I can trust my van so, hopefully that day will come it'll be back in the shop soon but then I want to be traveling further out myself actually hoping to cross the Canadian border! Currently -2 degrees below zero in Minocqua. 🥶
Truly enjoyed this video as I do each of them. But, this one was special. You are showing us that everything is not perfect. Don't panic, have your pity party, then get'r done. Fantastic. Very much enjoyed the segment of you talking to you. That was awesome. Love you, glad you and Frank are in the states. Brings you closer to us, on our stomping ground.
I have always thought you had beautiful hair! Sorry you got a little stressed. Please be careful. The states are not like Canada. LoL we do not have a lot of people out in the country staying or venturing around. Just please be safe. Loved the video as usual. Hugs to Frank and see ya next time. Much love from Iowa!!❤️❄️❤️❄️
There is nothing to be upset about Amanda. You had a good plan, stuck with it and everything is fine. The key is sticking with that plan and knowing your limits. I assume you have one of the new Garmins if real trouble ever shows up?
What an amazing determined beautiful young lady you are. You are so brave, and non-stoppable. so many, many things to love and admire in you. We ❤️❤️you and Frank dearly.
Amanda, you are such a brave young woman and a very impressive storyteller. I truly appreciate the love and care you have for Frank on your adventures and you kept your wits about you. I would have freaked out. Great job and I look forward to the next one! Take care and stay safe always!
Wow! Didn’t you just have the suspension and all checked before you left Canada?!? It is so awesome that you know so much about your vehicle. Your abilities surely saved your bacon in this situation. Loved the "dual Amanda" perspective. Creative!!!
May you and Frank always have helping hands and angels near you.

Yes yes yes!!! Me too❤
Me three🧡🐾🧡
The universe certainly is looking out for you!!!
It's astounding how those traction boards can disappear on you. It's even more fun in mud. I feel your frustration!!
I always skip thru sponsored ads. Your was the first I’ve watched beginning to end. Loved the way you presented it, talking to the “other”you!😊
That was THE BEST sponsor
PSA, Amanda, I watched it all
the way thru & I hope to BUY
land in the VERY near future!
Hugs to Frank, thanks for the

I have a home base in NV, but would love a Discount Lot where there are no cell towers for hundreds of miles.
