Thank you so very much. I've told my wife so many stories of how captivating the Alaska blue springs are. And wouldn't ya know, every video had brackish water. Thank you so much she loved it.
For those that don't know, this is basically what tap water is in the city of Anchorage Alaska! The city uses the glacial lake of Eklutna Glacier as its reservoir and the tap water is often higher quality than most bottled water available in the city!

@Timon Fullbrook Year 10 Oh yes they would. They become dormant in frozen conditions; if that was true then ex. minnesota or canada wouldnt have any amoebas but oh, yes, they spawn every late summer.
I drank glacier water in Iceland once and it was amazing, tasted so clean and fresh and cold - a truly euphoric experience of the normally commonplace drink! It is apparently one of the purest sources, unadulterated by the mineral additions in tap and even bottled water 😀💧
@@kyurislayer3865 its littarly melted ice, and that ice can be hundreds or thousands years old, in that time it could have a lot of bacteria parasites etc so i dont think it is very safe
You all know glacier water is some of the cleanest and most filtered water you can find naturally, he’s not gonna get any disease or something like tons of people are saying.
Just a heads up, don't so this. Even if you're in the process of dying of thirst, consider finding a flowing source of water over a stagnant puddle or ice. Also, any and all water from natural sources should be boiled and then filtered to eliminate any bacteria or parasites living in the water. Yes, Glacier water taste different, not because it's cleaner, but because there's a few extra ingredients in it.
Y’all talking about ancient bacteria, having lived in alaska, we would swim in and drink glacier water as it is some of the freshest natural water in the world
That isn't true. There's a multitude of Bacteria in that water. It might not all be harmful bacteria, but it's not the freshest natural water, not close.
Everyone saying this is how people drank water and didn't die: you're thinking of a river, not a glacier. A river is a filter, a glacier is the unfiltered source of water for a river.
you do realize that a river is less safe than most glaciers. i think your thinking of a spring fresh water boiling out of the ground filtered bye the soil
