😄👍 Beautiful!! Just a tip- I keep a clean, slightly moist brush on hand to use for the blending so I don't have to keep rinsing out the brush I'm using to paint with. This way, I get to use all the paint that is still in the brush and it moves along much quicker too. Thanks for sharing this lovely painting!
I absolutely love this rose! Your videos are so good. Thank you for sharing your talent with us! I've recently gotten back into watercolors and loving the loose style. I can't draw very well because my hands shake. Watercolor is a bit more forgiving than acrylic. Bless your heart! ❤️❤❤
your video of watercolor roses clicks with my brain. Finally I HAVE FOUND HOW TO GET THE RAZOR THIN petals AND HOW TO DO THEM. Thanks so much Annabellee
I am new to watercolor, but familiar with oils and acrylics. So glad to have found this video. I really appreciate you taking the time to show the steps and describing them as you go along. Your rose looks marvelous. Thank you.
Wow! I think the best rose tutorial ive ever seen!! You make it look so easy and its GORGEOUS! more like this one! Thankyou so very much for your art my freind
I run though my you tube in the am. I just glance at the boxes on screen I always pick your videos. I love your teaching. Happy your subscribers are increasing. I like the realism. One day you will have to write a book. Beautiful. Waiting for another realism.

Such beautiful roses..even better was the way you showed how to do it. Best tutorial I have seen so far that explains so well..this makes things easy for us. Thnx a lot for such a patient class..👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Emma 👋 oh my goodness Emma, WOW WOW WOW absolutely stunning u done a magnificent job of creating and painting an absolutely stunning looking Rose and u wear really fab at saying all the techniques step by step all the way thank u so much for taking the time to share and post on u tube I very much appreciated it Please keep your stunning tutorials coming ......have a nice weekend 👍🦋💞🐕 Lin
I have learned so much from your tutorials. I love to paint florals and this video was very helpful. I did notice that there were some hard edges on the paint. I have been frustrated with that happening when I used Windsor and Newton Cotman paints. I recently purchased a number of professional paints like Sennelier and Daniel Smith. The difference was amazing the hard edges I had been struggling with was not the paper or me but W/N paints. After trying Sennelier paints I found they are perfect for florals as the color is not intense and needs to be layered to increase the color. One technique for florals is glazing which Sennelier paints are perfectly made for. I realize that Sennelier paints are very expensive but I was able to purchase on Amazon trial sets which are the price of one tube of regular priced paint.
True but my Canson also gives hard edges even when I blend it out (Sennelier DS M Graham) I have a feeling the Arches will give me the joy I feel I need from my botanicals.
@@Ieat2much I would agree with you about the importance of good quality cotton paper. After I wrote my comment I have changed my watercolor paper. What a difference !!!! I also was struggling with the wet on wet technique but when I changed my brushes to natural hair I no longer have a problem. I thought that it was me but it was my art supplies.
Snuuby I know right. As a beginner I was getting deflated thinking it was always me. But it’s not. Good quality supplies make a huge huge difference. I still haven’t bitten the Arches paper bullet yet....but i know it’s coming😛
Thank you for showing two techniques Emma, they both look great, I’ll give it a try today, hope you have a lovely day. Greetings from a warm and sunny County Kerry, Ireland ☘️
Hi Emma , I love your videos, helps me understand the whole process and gives me the big picture, guess I will watch all ur videos (well we have time during the quarantine)
Thanks for making video on realistic rose. Rose is very close to my heart among all flowers. Used to thought it's very difficult to paint rose. But you painted in a easy way. Definitely I'll pain rose soon. Make more and more video on realistic flowers. Love and blessings from India.

This is beautiful, but mine came out bad. I think my impatience is to blame. I will try again later. I am determined to paint a decent looking rose. Thanks for all your great tutorials Emma!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful! I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for about 5 months now and you have taught me so much. I also noticed how much you have improved as well. Keep doing what you do because it is fantastic! When and if you offer your own classes on Skill Share or any other platform I would definitely be in for it. God Bless you & your family and have a wonderful day.
Great video. I'm about to try it....gulp !. Im extremely new, only 1 week of trying to teachmyself watercolour. Am getting confused about all the different ways of achieving a floral painting. I noticed that you didnt use very wet paint....is there a reason for that. All that Ive been watching....seems to use lots of water. thanks. Ive been watching a lot of your videos and enjoying them.
I loved watching your drawing process. You're very gifted and you make it look so easy. BTW, I've set my iPad to "never" shut off, and I like it so much better.
This is my style. I tend to be more attracted to realistic painting. I enjoy the longer process.

You're quite good at copying that rose. I'm still trying to master that skill. When I try drawing a rose I need a lesson in anger management.
