I wish that were true. But Norm stated that he is done competing professionally. I guess if he could no longer bowl at the highest level, he didn't want to anymore. It's respectful, but I still miss him. I watch Walter Ray all the time, if Norm just streamed his leagues, I'd watch all the time.
They're not outlawing 'thane, they just changed the hardness minimums so that the current 'thane can't be used at all. Expect Brunswick, SPI, and Motiv to have 'thane and MP balls that meets the hardness standards before the season, though. The cascade effect will be that all of the current 'thane will probably get discontinued at some point, so if you like it and want to use it in other competitions, I'd suggest stashing a few just in case.
Hey Chris, I’m bowling my first year of collegiate bowling. We are only allowed 6 balls for all the tricky sport shots. The arsenal I think I’m going with is Nova, Summit, Tour X, Hyroad, urethane, plastic. Im a High speed and high rev two handed bowler. If you see anything missing I’d love your insight. Thank you. -Jake
I got this ball last week and loved what it did for me on the lanes. My house sucks, for a lack of a better term. The people that run our machines treat them like garbage and you never know which machine is going to oil the lanes and if it'll even do it properly lol. So you can get a low volume shot, a flooded shot, a shorter shot, etc. When it is supposed to be a standard 39' Christmas Tree house shot, it rarely is. I've been having issues with controlling certain parts of the transition and this ball really helped keep me from having to move too far in. That is one of the things I have always struggled with, having to move in. Can't wait for tomorrow to see if I can tackle the lanes better this week now that I have a better idea of what it's going to do for me.
I still use the ball today. It's usually the first ball out of my bag. Gives me a good look to setup for transition and some nights I can actually throw it all 3 games.@@teeghost239
It's great. It's still pretty much the first ball out of my bag on league nights. It pretty much does exactly what I thought it would and some nights I can actually just stay in the ball the whole night. As a matter of fact, I shot 698 with it last night. I'm probably at best a 205-210 average bowler so high 6's and low 7's are few and far between for me. But I've managed a decent number of them this year between two leagues. Whether it's because it does what it's designed for or for whatever reason I just have more confidence in my ability, I do credit a lot of it to this ball. I even got my son one and it's still one of his favorites as well. @@teeghost239
Ok I have defended solid and IQ pearl. Looking for another would this ball be same as defender or would it fit on my arsenal? Maybe even cosmos? You thoughts.
Hey Chris, for two-handers does the pin distance matter on an asymmetrical ball? Because my PSO says I need it to be less than 3 inches, another local PSO says it doesn't matter.
It only matters in relation to how far away cg is from fingers and running into the ball being illegal for more than 3oz in whatever direction. So the answer is.... it depends :D
Just a league bowler, and I've been unable to handle anything reactive (not enough speed, heavy hand), so I've been playing way right and using a Mix because it's so predictable and have had decent results with it. However, when we're on the less-hooking side of the house, the Mix is too weak but my Purple Hammer is out of control, especially with its tendency to hook too early. Would this mean this Dynam-X would be too much for me as well?
Hey guys. I have a gem that i cant use for more than a game. It either over hooks or burns up too fast. As big ball replacement i was thinking reality? And i need mew IQ tour..maybe tour d imstead?
If the Gem is really too much than quickly, maybe consider the Clone. Feel like reality might be in same boat as the gem quite quickly. New IQ Tour, I would suggest taking a look at the Xponent
Summit is super strong option, earlier than phaze 2. Xponent fits in between Phaze 2 and IQ tour almost perfectly. The Tour Dynam-x is going to be awesome for fresh and keeping angles more in front of you. Think Tour D is earlier but less overall hook than the Xponent!
I hope USBC doesn’t ban Urethane for high rev players on the smaller level it’s the most controllable and for those who are inconsistent it’s the most forgiving
@@brianfellows8960so everyone should be forced to use plastic balls? Once upon a time people wanted reactive balls and two handed bowling for the same reasons others want urethane banned. If urethane made such a difference why isn't everyone using it? Old balls in general going soft and oil patterns are a much bigger problem for bowling in general. p.s. not just urethane that was shown to be going soft.
Im thinking about getting this ball. I have an infinite, tnt, fate, and mix for spares. Im a low speed guy and this tour dynamx sounds like a great ball to add to my arsenal
Ball looks perfect for what it’s meant to be.
Great review. I feel like I know what I'm getting without throwing it yet. I'm ordering one at my pro shop today
😮 if they outlaw Urethane Norm Duke will return I'm just saying
I think Norm is enjoying retirement !!
That would be nice

just need some adderall and ur set bro. i have a theory most 2 handed memechuckers are on it like how they use insulin in cycling
Actually for college for some unknown reason it’s 5 balls. Prob end up taking out the x kr hyroad
Awesome review! Thanks for showing it on the short pattern. Between this ball and the Xponent, not sure what's going to be in my bag!
Great video...the tour Dynamics ball go further down lane when shined?... Or will it be a sharper break point?

That’s a great looking ball Chris. two👍👍
I never really liked urethane so this ball is going to be perfect for me.
Are you going live tomorrow ?
My house shot can be dry at times, and I occasionally play on a sport shot (short pattern), this might be the ticket....
yeh, this is definitely a ball that can blend the lane nicely

An asymmetric IQ might be one of those balls that has been missing. Kudos to SPI for coming up with that concept in the TD!
I love these videos! Chris has great bowling knowledge!!
I'm wondering on house if it would be a little redundant to have an Xponent and Dynamix in an arsenal
Subscribed because you are shooting spares.
I definitely like the look of that one!!! thanks!!!
It looks just like the Venom Shock motion wise.

Ok. I do have an exotic gem. Very similiar to clone?
@@michaelgaleotti1870 I think the clone is a little more rounded. Slightly stronger in the mid lane
I’m stuck between the tour dynamx, storm summit and global Xponent. Want one of them, but not sure which one fits me better.

Urethane for senior 👍
Nice video

They should. Make people actually bowl instead of having a ton of miss room.

Benchmark to replace my hyped solid? 2 handed, rev dominant, med speed
could be for sure. Probably earlier than hyped solid for me

are they banning eurothane balls on the pba tour ?
Changing rules in hardness for urethane. Most wisdom is that it will reduce its viability on as many patterns
Urethane substitute ?
Who’s Reactive Teacher ?😂
There is no replacement for urethane.
As long as they're 2 hander dorks on tour throwing Urethane their will be 2 handed dorks throwing them on house shots unfortunately 😮
Kermit
Question : if all the balls with urethane were to be banned how many balls would be left?
🤔🤔🤔🫢🫢🫢
would this be a uc3 replacement?
it could be, I think even more controllable than uc3 also
