Usually with armored units I use Sonic's thrust attack to break through their defenses. After getting Paladin style up to a certain point, you become invincible when thrusting and up-slashing. Those moves are live savers.
These are the things that apply. There may be more: 1. They have big ring thingies at the end instead of the goal signs. 2. The enemies are eggman bots that don't attack you. 3. They give you world rings. 7 of the legacy stages give you world rings. you get all seven and then unlock a remix of the final boss fight in sonic and the secret rings.
@BombBooZora yeah you did see it and the ironic thing is you have to destroy them with a HOMING ATTACK instead of the sword becuase that wont do anything lol
I wish every stage had the exact style of gameplay as the Legacy stages, or, in other words, like the OLD style of 3-D Sonic games. Well, they would increase in difficulty, of course, since the Legacy stages are made to be easy just for fun. =]
Tell me Blaze Shadow and Knuckles are also playable in this mode and you´ll make me happy. Only 4 stages for the extra characters doesn´t make them justice.
You have got to be kidding me! So Sega ARE capable of making an normal Sonic game, but they continue to tease us with Werehogs, Story Books and unnessicary weapons! Sort it out Sega, I mean it!

i love that they brought the eggman robots in sonic heroes back they were my most favorite enemies!

That Legacy mode thing looks sweet!
And that looked pretty annoying in that last mission when those guys kept blocking your attacks lol.
OMG... the Legacy missions are even better! Maybe if IGN got this far, they might think twice about the ranking they would had given it...
