In the UK lots of JDM cars have doubled in price, usually you can get an rx7 for 7-14 k now they’re 14-20k

at least weve got the 350z which is common and fairly cheap

Had a little meet with my SC buddies and some crown vics. We were chilling outside our cars talking and a CLEAN 66 beetle came by and we all broke our necks looking at it. You've nothing to cry about haha

@@djpollo2474 It's reliable as can be. Just torque the headbolts to about 10lbs over stock and you;re good to go. on the 7m engines anyway

MK3 Supra is still easily under 10K, but it depends what you want out of it. They are largely ignored so the prices aren't insane, but finding a good one is.
No love for the 350Z :( still a good list though. When I was in highschool a buddy of mine had a mk3 Supra, that thing was fun as hell.
yeah same goes for the G's, obviously G53's are less than 10k but I got my G37S coupe, in manual, for 7k and with 330hp from an NA engine and a super nice interior with tons of options not much beats that

The Zs are the best drift cars too. I had a 987 Boxster, N55 335i, E30 325i, NA miata and the 350z is the best car I've ever owned. Just make sure to get one with LSD and add some coilovers.

Toyota Celica is a good pick too. Has go-kart handling and has Toyota's version of VTech.

@@drifterslayer9245 The Celica TA6 was the last rwd celica and production ended in 1985. The T16, T18, T20 and T23 all have fwd (excluding AWD GT-Four homologation models)

Ayyyy respect for shouting out the rsx type-s, never thought I’d really get into them but after buying a virgin and modding it I absolutely fell in love with the performance, drivability and reliability. Definitely an underdog plus they’re getting more and more rare. I highly recommend the dc5s to anyone looking for an iconic jdm collectors car available right here in the U.S that is an absolute perfect canvas and all around complete blast to rip around 💪🏼💪🏼
I love my FC and got it in prime condition. I agree, maintenance is key but dont be afraid to hammer that rotary every time you drive it! My first car (85 300zx Z31) are awesome cars for low budgets, and now that there is coilover conversions along with other parts, theyre starting to get some more love.
The 350Z is under $10k most of the time and is one of the fastest JDM cars you can get in that price range. They are pretty reliable as long as you don't get a 05-06 model as that has the DE rev-up engine and it burns oil pretty badly. As far as stance goes, you can fit some pretty wide wheels under these things as I'm currently on 10.5" in the rear. And if you can find an 07-08 model that comes with the HR engine, then you can do basic bolt-ons with a tune, and outrun the 370Z's. I say all this from experience as I own one and have beaten two 370Z's to date.
I recently bought a base RSX to replace my cheap cobalt. It has a 5-speed manual, it’s fun, reliable, practical for a coupe, and is so much better than what I had before. It was also incredibly well cared for it’s whole life which is awesome. I plan to keep taking care of it for as long as I can.
Ok first time looking into these cars and I am starting to really love these cars. It’s amazing what you guys can do to these cars like they look and sound amazing
I love that mk3 supra and fc rx7 start the list as pop up headlights and rwd is a amazing combo

My 96 eclipse is my favorite car I ever owned. Had over 300,000 miles. 3rd engine. 2nd transmission. Most important was almost no strut tower rust! miss it so much
I'm so glad you mentioned the RSX. I love my 02 Type-S.
what my first car was a 2G eclipse. after i put in the parts i wanted i never had a issue drove the car for damn near 10 years no real issues.
I just wanna know where you’re finding these. All the Rx7s I find in Texas are usually more than 10k
Those are for turbo II’s. GXL’s, base models, and convertibles are cheaper. My vert was 3k.

I picked up an abandoned FC before I watched this. it sat for 10 yrs surprisingly low rust but the guy sold it to me for 350 it works fine now and I'm gonna put a turbo in it. anyways I absolutely love it!
Under rated old Nissan, sentra se-r. U get a sr20 with a 5 speed manual 2 door plenty of trunk space not too bad on gas and they weigh about 2,300-2,400 lbs. I've got a 4 door 91 with the ga16de. Gets decent gals mileage and its pretty fun, handles well. Just needs more power and I'll be good ! Keep up the awesome videos !

The 1990 to 93 Honda accord (CB7) is a great platform, such a fun car to drive.

I love my VR4 Galant! 27+ years (2nd owner since '93) of fun and counting! Not a car to recommend due to limited sales (3000) in the US. Parts are a big problem few other cars experience. However that 4G63 is a motor to die for! WooHoo!

Yo, those mark 3 supras ain't nothing to joke about. They can still put down serious power on the original engine. (with, admittedly, like 200 hours of maintenance and service)

I would have liked to see a FB RX-7, as those are pretty cool, as well as a Z31 300ZX, as those are cool. Both have pop ups

Oh hey, I have a mk3 Supra and I can say that it’s a fun car, it sounds amazing, especially the 1JZ, plus it’s pretty reliable ngl
350z and some 370z now. They are the best cars I've ever owned and I've had the NA Miata, 987 Boxster, N55 335i, and E30 325i.
want to see someone make one of these for australia they will really have to search to find anything other than a dodgy 350z or a rolling shell s13 for that price lol
Just remember this is in USD but you’d be lucky to find a half decent Silvia for under 15k
australian market for cars is fucked . So expensive for JDM’s unless they’re thrashed in mileage
You can import an S13 or S14 Silvia K’s for right around $10k if you know what you are doing and do it yourself...kind of hard to beat that lol

I want to add a car to this list, 3000gt/stealth/GTO's, depending where you live you can have one in good shape for around 4-6k, for that you get a 300hp-320hp, awd, aws, active aero, active exhaust, around 5.2-5.5 second 0-60, faster than a mk4 supra and many other cars of the time, these things cam be made into monsters and are pretty reliable if you have a well maintained example
These cars are a steal right now and can only go up in value aswell

@@connerindicavitch5687 there's more room in the engine bay of a rx7. The rotary weights next to nothing to remove and work on, and is so small you don't need a lot of space. The 6g72 is not a small motor, and if you get a vr4 the turbos add a lot to the motor size.
@@calebzorn839 theyre REALLY not the worst thing in the world in terms of working on them, the maintenance does take longer to do because you have to remove, but its really not that complicated of a car mechanic wise, i love working on mine personnally

The FC is a car I've been heavily debating over an 02 IS300, though not too sure I'll have the time and money needed to throw into it... Especially since it'd be my daily.
Miata is always the answer.
I currently own a NA 97 Miata MX-5.
S13, S14, 350Z. A S2000 that needs work. And I feel a little better now.

Only time I've ever seen FI bring up the MK3 Supra. Absolutely surprised by that one, but they are completely right. You can't even say enough about those gems, they are just as good as it gets for the money.

idk about you but to me JDM means actually imported from Japan, we get Japanese cars in the US but they're different from the same cars sold in Japan. If it's not RHD I'm not sure you can call it JDM. I mean my Infiniti G37S would be a Nissan Skyline 370GT in Japan...
