I got married and divorced in the time since I've found this band. Your music is incredible. it's there for the good and bad times. You guys just can't miss.
🥹 You guys have made one of the biggest impacts on my life. I love you boys to the ends of the earth. And everybody else that’s hear jamming this right now. I love you all. I was diagnosed with cancer few months ago, and Delta will be the last thing I hear when I pass. Promise. Sucks I haven’t seen them play yet, but I have some merch. Would love to have a conversation. Love you guys 🫶
Thank you so much for your touching message. Would you be able to hit us up at deltasleepbookings@gmail.com and we can continue chatting on there? Much love and thanks so much for reaching out like this. It means a lot to us all x
A slow burner. I like the fact that you guys are trying out new things. I wouldn't mind a mellowed-out album like this , if this is what Blue Garden is going to be. Keep is real, guys.
Loving the new tunes. Took me 4 failed attempts to see you live (mostly due to covid) until I caught you in Bristol and it was amazing. Got a signed LP of Management from you. You're all such a big inspiration to me. Hope to see you guys again soon!
I’m not even really a big Alt-pop guy but have had this album on repeat. Each listen reveals something new. Lots of texture and vibe throughout. I’d like to hear about how this came together conceptually if there are any interviews on the horizon. Great song writing as well. One of the best in this genre I’ve heard in a long time.
I really love this song, it was released on a rough day I was traveling and competing in Italy, song fit the mood of the feeling of despair. Although I can’t help but also feel the song relates to some global issues like the genocide in Gaza, with lines like “When the night rains the terror In the fighting muted under my sheets” and “ Cold and alone, you got nowhere to go Except your head, but it hurts a lot (and it never stops) Feeling the weight of the world on my shoulder, so it goes And it hurts a lot, and it doesn't stop” It makes me think of how someone in Gaza who is living under constant terror from air strikes must feel. It could be that I’m projecting that too considering the news about Palestine and Lebanon is so depressing and gives you a sense of hopelessness that Palestinian will ever get to live free. I do hope I’m wrong and the future is a lot brighter and more peaceful than what I fear and we can live in a world with no war or genocide. Where all people live free lives in peace and justice. Edit. Fixed some grammar and spelling errors.
Chilling. First forest fire comes out at literally the right moment in my life. Now this track does the exact same. Delta sleep has easily become my all time favorite band since discovering them about 2 years ago. Thank you guys ❤
I had a whole comment written out that just seemed superfluous upon a second read- suffice it to say, thanks for all your contributions of talent, heart, insight, and creativity. It is very appreciated! Cant wait to hear more- from Montana with Love!
I'm also curious about some of the lyrical meaning, is the general idea about how you see big issues in the world (inequality, war, etc.) and struggle with the fact you can't help fix them all? I really like "While the earthlings are retreating from the right thing to do". Good af regardless
Kinda has similar vibes to the band Crumb in this one - I think it's partly because of using 4/4 the whole time lol. And holy shit it's been stuck in my fucking head ever since I first heard it.
I love you guys and your music but I just have to be honest, this one is just too repetitive, at least for me, I would never speak for anyone else. Love the chords that are there and the vibe, just wish it would've been going somewhere because it was a little too same-y throughout. I'll get dog piled and that's ok, no hate towards anyone, but it's criticism coming from love for DS being one of the only bands out there still keeping us all alive. I just couldn't see a justification for almost 5 and half minutes. Loving everything else you guys are putting out and I will be purchasing without a doubt.
Aye fair man, wee bit more repitive than a lot of their songs, I don't mind it though. Loving the theme this albums going for and I think the song captures it nicely. Have a good day man 😄
@@CelestialCimmerian same to you, cheers 🥂 and the vibe of the song, the atmospheric energy in it, A1. Which was why I was really excited to see what it was leading to, I was convinced it was building and unfortunately it just wasn't. Which is fine, not every song is meant to be a profound magnum opus. It's still DS and they still do it better than most. So maybe I'm being unfair expecting a bar they've already set to be exceeded. Every song can't do that
I hear you, but I have a feeling that this might sound better within the context of the album. I commend Dev and the band for speaking out and basing the album on the ongoing atrocities of our world. My interpretation of "Glow" is that it's a continuous stream of thought a person is having as they build up their moral ground on the status quo. Like the art in the video is hinting, it's a stable flame providing light and reason which directly translates to the music. Also tracks after "Glow" like "Figure in the Dark" show more range musically, mirroring the ups and downs of a person willing to put up a fight, which is only possible because of the moral footing that Glow provides.
You could be right @@RakeebRajbhandariand I'm not counting it out like it's a track I'll be skipping. I like it. I just wanted it to be more. I wouldn't say I thought of it in the context that you mentioned or that it's out of the realm of possibility that it could evoke more when enjoyed from a wider context. But you're right and my favorite thing about it is that it is not a typical DS song, it is a completely different vibe than what they usually do. So if anything, I see this song as a step in an interesting direction, not a detriment to the band. I would not say it's a full evolution though. But a good reminder that DS is the kind of band that can pull off anything.
Sup!
Guys I’m so excited I will be seeing you in London with So I watch you from afar this December !!
