I see people on the balance get upset over a 60 parse, putting themselves down etc, and I'm just like 'so not only you cleared, you also did better than half the other players, what's there to complain'. Or people constantly mocking grey parses; well, someone's gotta be at the bottom.
It's not like it's even the bottom 5% or something, a quarter of all clearers are gonna be gray

I'm ngl, the Arcadian is my first raid tier and as a BRD who is brand new to this content, my static's expectations of me is to clear. We look at parses to improve where we can do more individually in order to improve. I think once it becomes competition you've completely lost the sauce. I love that I can see where I fumbled my fingers and have double or triple weaved and shows the exact places where I personally need improvements. It makes it really fun and the coaching that my static can do because of these tools make the experience for me even better, but only if you understand this gauge is for yourself and cannot be applied to others. I love the hell out of Sekiro and if I beat a boss getting hit once or missing a deflect twice in a row I say "wow this run is utter dogshit" because my personal metric shows I'm better than that. Seeing someone kill a boss in that game at all to me is a victory. They can't possibly be judged by my own standards of the game, especially when I became obsessed and no-lifed it, just like I can't compare myself to Souls streamers who play way more than me and should be expected to perform at least at my level.
Tl;dr, This is a tool for personal metric, once that personal metric starts to apply to others it becomes toxic and ultimately the only thing that really matters is the clear. Elitists are gonna elite though.
