Great video! I have a dislocated elbow so had to get an ex husband involved (aged 79 with a bit of fogetfulness). He was trained as a fitter in his youth back in the 50s. We both enjoyed putting this together. Neither of us could have understood the paper instructions as we are both old school, so thank you so much.
Thank you so very much for your help with putting together my loom. Your video was so helpful. I would never have been able to put it together with the instructions alone.
Hi Carolyn. The heddles are a bit tricky. The big loops in the heddles (at ua-cam.com/video/GUa9alSHGIQ/v-deo.html) need to go over the ends of the two metal rods on the frame. You take the pins out and slot them through the side of the loom to hold the beater in place when you are threading the reed.
HI, Don't you have the front and back warp stick directions reversed? The directions to tie on the warp sticks are opposite of what you have in the video. Just double checking!! Thanks for the video - it was very helpful!
Hello Sheila. Yes, watching the video again I think you are right, I have the front and back warp stick directions reversed. Thank you for pointing this out.
Great, thanks, but we still don't see a section showing ow to set up the threads and how it works. Do you intend to create the next video to show this?
Hi sproglode. We've no plans to do this at the moment. Ashford themselves have a good video covering warping up the loom, and I don't think we would add too much to that.
Thank you for great instructions. I do have one question regarding the heddles, did you cut the loops on the remaining bunches prior to putting the frames into the castle?

Glad it was useful!
This is FANTASTIC---thank you SO MUCH !!!
Glad you liked it Shannon.
Great instructions but I don't understand how you put the heddles on. Also, what are the cotter pins for on the top of the loom?
