Leo/Parthiban is a complicated character. If you think about it he killed his father, uncle and friends. Lied to his wife, made her feel guilty for doubting him. He is definitely not a good guy kind a anti hero.
Yes I agree the second half is stretched specially the back story, it wasn't that convincing.
All that car chase is CGI because director just wanted to do it because he hadn't used special affects,CGI at that scale before in his movies. And it was all to make it a single take shot.
There is no bullet marks because the story told by that prisoner was a lie to protect Leo.
There were so many creative decisions which stopped the movie from becoming a perfect movie.
The story is based on a graphic novel called A history of violence.
LEO is a anti hero type character. 50%hero, 50%villian.
Before you going to watch leo. You need to watch kaithi and vikram first because they all got connection

I agree, first half was really good, the bgm, the acting performances and action were good. The second half, the identity crisis part was underwhelming although I understand that Leo is hiding his identity but you can tell that Parthiban is obviously Leo but although the action sequence were great, the story was shallow in the second half. Overall it was ok movie for me. 6/10 for me.
I would definitely watch it again for the first half only, but second half no interest.

LEO is the character introducttion to the universe LCU,Whatever you said about the second part is right even many vijay fans had same problem with LEO as you guys felt,Lokesh kanagaraj's Kaithi and vikram from this universe was well filmed&directed but leo has many problems with the story ,Kaithi and vikram was from start to end the story will be so engaging and well written and director also accepted that in Leo whatever the fans said about the review he's accepting that and it will be much better in leo 2 with good story writing,so guys watch kaithi and vikram you will not find any streching or lagging in the movie

It's funny you guys giving this wrong review about the movie without knowing anything, you guys should watch the movies Kaithi and Vikram before that, (Imagine watching Avengers End Game Without watching any other marvel movies and telling why everyone is dead who is that Purple guy what are those colorful stones) yeah similar vibes 😂😂
They don't kill leo because they need drug business he is the Leader for the drug business the business not doing well because the drug formula only knows leo that's why....its 3rd movie u need to watch kaithi and vikram before Leo
Leo is part of a cinematic universe, LCU, Kiathi, Vikram and Leo, so this is the third one, Leo/Partibhan is not a hero, he is a villian, he lie and kill poeple just to his own convenience, according to the director himself. You can watch Kiathi and Vikram to understand more of the story
1. Parthiban emotionally manipulated his wife that she won't even dare to suspect him a little bit in future. Such manipulative he was and that too for a good cause i believe so. That may be like betraying his wife and her trust but what if he reveals his identity and his family breaks down. He dont want his family life to fall. He continues to be parthiban for his family not as leo. At last leo lives as per her sister elisa's wish. She said him to leave this all and live far way from all these.
2. The orphanage connect is from lcu's previous movie vikram and the story leo made is definitely a cookeup one. He somehow got connected to that orphanage and built his identity as a new person.
3. The hyena is a metaphor to parthibans character. It is seperated from its clan and vulnerable. Like wise parthiban aka leo is seperated and vulnerable too.
4. After that coffee shop shoot out parthiban never turns immediately to a call. You can notice that in the scene where his shooting abilities are checked. He wont response immediately when they call him parthiban. He keeps on thinking.
5. The dsouza character who raised leo purposefully lied to the policeman that he isnt leo to safeguard leo's family life from collapsing and make them believe he is parthiban not leo.
We can't 100% believe the flashback scene, he ended the story like leo died in the factory, so i think he made up the story inorder to safeguard leo

@@frenchandindianreact there where many detailing shown in the movie which showed leo as villian, leo and Sanjay dutt first meetup scene in coffee shop Sanjay dutt background was in angle wings and leo background was in devil's crown, he is the person who killed his friend and hung him in front of his coffee shop- he already said those who knows the truth are either dead or they are going to die in the next minute. The last suit case leo open (which is Leo's)had the superstitious book in it, Sanjay dutt already told he is a ruthless killer.
