Your fine, actually great. You went through hicups and you problem solved them. With doing that you helped others avoid that issue. Your video is full hands on, not prestaged. That makes you likeable . I like the simpleness of your project. Best of all 24/7 sound effect qs the sun goes down solar pumps quit. Yours keeps on giving. Keep on being you, teach through trials an error ❤

I saw on the Humming bird water feature site , the lady used USB water pumps with power banks.. I've just bought one and am going to use in my very similar fountain that I "copied" last year from this video

Yes! You can do it!! Really ALL you need to get is a pump. Then you can make a fountain out of virtually anything you have around that holds water!!

i have the same style of pump. used an old disk humming bird feeder(the bottom clear part). i needed another smaller hose to insert through the center of tray. placed the red feeder part (where the hummingbirds feed) off a typical feeder, made a nickle size hole and set on top of other piece. setting this on a bucket and some pebbles from dollar tree. the pebbles inside of the top red feeder helps to create little waterfalls out of the feeding spouts. i wanna make more.

Well done, I love your determination and narrative and you gave me an idea to use water hose for my pump. I didnt mind your sniffs (but just use a tissue from time to time). The finished fountain was really good. xx

Best DIY water fountain ive found.. i too wabt to use stuff i have but couldn't think how to create a ledge for an old frog spout i have.. seeing yours i realise i don't need a ledge but a tower inside the pot with a wider flatter top ..i have bricks with holes which would be perfect for the tubing and the frog to sit on with the water going through his bottom snd out of his mouth..

For the past 4 maybe 5 springs I would get a brilliant idea for a water fall/ fountain! Every time it has kicked my but! Hours of watching videos, Hours of digging, few hours thinking I did something worth the time, effort, money! To find it quit working ! That same itch for a dog gone water disaster has hit me again please pull for me,these simple things are just eating me alive ! Would love to pay some one to do it but when you do have 2 nickals to rub together that out ! I would love to have something like normal house hold would have no problem with! Normal that is something that will never be achieved in my life ,but I thank you for giving me the MOJO to try once again 🙏 I think you did a great job with your project 😀

This is similar to what I had in mind only I have a much bigger planter so I'm using a 20" planter saucer as a birdbath. It sits on top of a 5 gallon bucket I put inside the pot that will be the water reservoir and provide space around the edges to plant some trailing plants. Like the way you camouflaged the hose. So much easier than drilling through several l rocks.

Thanks! I'd LOVE to see how it turned or turns out!! When I did that video I was just sick of saying "one day I'll do that" and decided to just work with what I already had and make it happen. It was a wonderful addition to the patio. I recently bought a new and bigger pump to also make a bigger fountain :)

@@MakeItPlace Here's mine. Yours looks better but I will keep fussing with the rocks and maybe some moss. Except for the pump, planter saucer, and a few parts, I already had everything so it wasn't too expensive though a planter that size is pretty Pricy if you had to buy one.

Try a solar one that sticks in the ground and leads to a pump for your bowl or try one that sits in the water without the grd stake or one that connects to a usb which will run all the time without sun.,I have all three. But if you plan on entertaining at night the electric pump is good and you can get led light that are submersible with remote control and different colors.

we have a pond in front by our porch, but on the side of our lattice porch, i made a water feature, next step is to cement around the pot, leaving enough room to replace the pot if need be, and rocks will be use to cement a round wishing well type frame for it. cant wait to get that done, turns out the rain water collects off our roof right in that pot, so pump in and rock but i want to hide the pot from view and use round rocks that i have to complete that water feature right by the lattice, where vines will grow up, and put on a blue floral show in spring and summer, Morning glorys, always come back every year, so thats what we put there, they are about to climb any time now, so its a good rich soil in that flower bed, with lithrope that blooms as well so i can suck otu the water with the pump when i need to change it, once its bricked in, i will add a few fish soon to that, and there is also a bush there to help with shade, and i will add a couple hummingbird feeders to the rock round when i am done with it. i also was gifted a big frog spitter i may use that as well, so only cost to us, will be the tiny pump and, will add that frog i do think as well its big, so that will look great sitting on top
