Two Scouts from Repton in Derbyshire feature on ITV's Evening News about their discovery of a piece of jewellery over 1500 years old, whilst working on their Scout Archaeology badge.
Reporter Louise Scott meets Georgia and Evie who unearthed the 6th Century Anglo-Saxon brooch when they were taking part in a dig organised by Derbyshire County Scout Archaeology Team at the site of an old Manor House.
The two Scouts were special visitors at the British Museum today to discuss their find with experts, and to be presented with their Scout Archaeology badge by Liz Walker, a Trustee of The Scouts.
Chief Scout Bear Grylls also sent a specially recorded message to Evie and Georgia congratulating them on their achievement.
