God, I've always wanted to do this. Just stash away everything and move to Tokyo. I can't do it yet, because of my own cowardice to chase what I know deep down is an adventure meant for me, and because practicalities of life and family call me elsewhere. But videos like these give me hope- one day, I'll buy a ticket to a place by myself. And I'll watch the sun come up and go down by my own accord in the place I brought the ticket to.
I love this vlog - something about it not having any background music and the way you capture the sounds of life is beautiful. Looking forward to your adventures!
i just found ur channel this mundane morning before i grind for my last final exam of term 1 in my freshman year of university. ive always loved watching vlogs bc it makes me feel productive watching other ppl be productive/live their lives 💀 and finding ur channel, i know im gonna binge ur past videos :) love the editing and the fact that every second is so beautifully shot and placed. enjoy and stay safe on ur trip!
kagaribi guesthouse is an affordable and quaint space to stay in tokyo if u want to explore there. its quite expensive to travel around japan with the bullet train ($50-$150 USD) so i only rode it once, but if you are willing to pay the money, it's a really great way to see different parts of japan. i really recommend visiting at least one onsen. if you go during the winter, you should go to the northern part of japan and go see the snow monkeys. i didn't get to but i wanted to very badly. and hmmm get all your material ties figured out before you leave your homeland (including a hefty amount of savings to make sure you're not stressed while there). japan is honestly quite expensive (especially if you want to socialize) so i spent around $200 in just 9 days, not including flight and housing (which i was not planning to do). oh also biggest tip is to fly with zipair during the off-season. i only paid $260 for my one way flight on 11/27 (i didn't get in-flight meals but i just brought my own food from home). i would have saved $51 if i could have squeezed all my belongings into a backpack with a total weight of 15 lbs but it was winter, so i couldn't with all the hefty clothing that i needed. phew. i think that's all i got. good luck!
i have a us passport and was only there for a week and a half so i didn’t need any visas in that case. it depends on which country you are going to, but i am in korea now and i can stay here for 90 days. if i want to stay longer, i need to apply for a visa, but if you go to another country and then come back, your 90 days renews itself.
immediately subscribing bc I WANNA BE APART OF THIS ADVENTUREEEE
