Yes. For me it became more then a song. I used to hear it in Ikea where I met love of my life. It was playing in department that she managed. She past away almost 7 years ago due to cancer at age of 34.
Since then I became a shell of my old self and was avoiding places that reminded me of her including quitting my job in Ikea.
Last week I finally got myself to go through the store and walked through her department. Guess which song was playing? 7 years later.
My heart almost stopped and my eyes immediately started to tear up. Since then I've been playing it non stop and been thinking about her 24/7 and the life we were supposed to have. Today would have been her 41st birthday. I just returned from visiting her grave and was playing this song obsessively and decided to post this. Like a message in a bottle.

I remember me and my best friend listening to this all the time in our tree house just enjoying each others company and jamming out to this song together and we would run from our houses and just run to our tree house to escape our home and parent issues and just be kids. We were both 13 at that time. Now we are 18 we grew up together because we had known each other since of age 4 and we met at a play park. She died from coronavirus 3 weeks ago and I know that I will never forget her. Never. I never related to the lyrics until now. Funny how times can change.

It adds an incredible depth to this already meaningful song.
Their use of this “thing” (what looks like a soft, furry beast) brings safety and love to the girl throughout her life, and can represent so much to us. This “thing” may represent a person that has passed away, a past romantic partner, a dream that you never pursued, or a passion that forever lights a fire within. Point being, the “thing” they used is so versatile. We all have something we wish we can “go back and put up a fight” for, whether that’s fighting for one’s love or fighting the fear that told us to give up on a dream. In the end, that idea will follow us until we die, but will always remind us our values and what we love most.
Such a beautiful song/video. I hope this inspires anyone here to either fight for what they love, or to let go of the past and focus on what’s ahead ❤️
