12:32 Watch for the pose they make when you get near them! A shiny Stretchy form will lie out flat, while a Curly form will curl itself upward; if you see an orange one that doesn't curl up, that's a shiny salmon nigiri, babey!

I didn’t even know the different tatsugiri forms had different shinies..I made like 3-4 sandwiches trying to find the white ones, thinking that was the only form 😭😭 I probably missed so much
Dw, I've spent so much time looking at them I can't tell anymore if they're shiny or not because I haven't seen the white one (the easiest to spot)

I feel that. I phased 3 times for a shiny tinkatink. The first time I made the wrong sandwich and got falinks. The 2nd time I made the right one and got a shiny swablu. The 3rd time tonight I finally got the tinkatink. I wasn't as loud as I was afraid I was going to be finding it. Then again I am tired when typing this.
Not always but some can feel a lot quicker since they cut out all of the searching time.
An outbreak next to a wall is awesome. You cling to the wall and they spawn in like crazy. You despawn and spawn in so many.

caught a shiny slowpoke yesterday, just randomly decided to go to an outbreak because i finally finished my dex a few days ago and hoped it would visibly increase the shiny chance. literally after 5 minutes i saw a suspicious slowpoke and it turned out to be a shiny

I feel like Haxorus is too underated as a pokemon. It has a good movepool, attack stat, moldbreaker, and of course a fantastic shiny. It's my favorite pokemon, congrats on the shiny.

The Klawf - Gulpin at the same time happened to me with Dondozo and Gyarados.
I was doing a Dondozo outbreak with a sparkling 3 sandwich, and then Dondozo spawned and I needed to reset due to accidentally murdering it, and after I turned the game on again a shiny Gyarados also spawned, unrelated to my sparkling sandwich.
That's awesome! Bet you're glad you murdered that Dondozo in cold blood

I'm gonna cry. How are you so lucky 😭😭 My luck has been dog poop lately. It takes me hours just to get a single shiny, usually from an outbreak. I had a Revavroom outbreak in the same spot as yours and it took me HOURS to get just one. I was so mad... I wasn't even that happy to get the shiny, just super annoyed. I'm also trying to get a shiny Mareanie from an outbreak but it won't freakin spawn. I wanna scream and cry rn

I don’t really have a problem with the Curly form as I found one the other day and it was distinct enough, the problem is only Curlys spawn in outbreaks.
A good way to try and figure out if the orange one is shiny is to look at how the Tatsugiri freezes; Curly always curls it’s tail up, while Stretchy stays flat. Droopy always flops, but that’s the pink/white one
Bro, you got extremely lucky with Finizen, it took me two hours to find it as I proceeded to find shiny wingull twice, shiny Kilowattrell, and shiny Magikarp, then out of nowhere the next day I was roaming around the area I found it and I seen a wingull thinking it was shiny which it was but I found another shiny Finizen which I gave to my friend so now me and him have a shiny Palafin👍

Hey Thumbus!At 8:02, you said that Toedscruel did not fight the finizens .It is actually because that your Toedscruel cannot swim, you need a pokemon that can swim to auto battle the finizen, so thats why your quaquaval can auto battle them. Anyways love your vids!
19:36 My game designer brain needs to remind people that the updated look of the steel types are due to new materials and not textures!! Textures are the flat patterns and colors, materials are the properties like the metallic look!!

Shiny kilowattrel is subtle, especially in SV lighting, but I've hunted for it for so long that even before you said anything about it I was like "That damn bird!!"

I also tried a glimmet outbreak, got really mad because they kept spawning in walls so I turned, looked a wall, locked into a glimmet I couldn't see, threw my ball at it

Socarrat Trail: the king of giving you all the wrong shinies. I have 8 Toedscool, 4 Heracross, 2 Forretress, 2 Lurantis, and 2 Fomantis. No Zoroark (what I'm looking for), no Tarountula.
Fun Fact cause for the Slowpoke on or even Zorua… Auto Battles dont fight Shinies. Its how i found Zorua cause my Slither Wing said “No Fight”

My story with socarrat trail is this: I came looking for any shiny bug as I loved all of them, and after running around in circles for a while I decided to focus on forretress. There is a big lake I ran up and down as only forretress can spawn above water (but others spawn around the lake too). Spawned a shiny tarountula, probably my favourite sv shiny, but noticed seconds too late. My first shiny fail. Later I did get the forretress, which was cool but i forgot to save. Damp bellibolt was a lifesaver there. Went back, almost immediately got a heracross and later my tarountula returned

At 21:20 you can see a shiny Spidops on the right side of the screen on a tree.
I managed to find a worse outbreak than the pawniard yesterday. A dratini one in a river with steep cliffs on either side. The little noodle only spawned one (1) at a time. None on land, not even any clipped into the walls. One measly dratini in the river that wouldn’t even reliably spawn.

Thw annoying thing in this game, is the fact theres no shiny sound. If you dont know the shiny, you practically lose one if you dont recognise its difference.
Funny thing happened to me where I was using the shiny bagon method with encounter power 2, so sableye still spawned. Within 20 minutes on my first attempt a shiny sableye spawned.
(I still have yet to get shiny bagon)
